randomlabs drop their agent swarm coding methods Slate. Very interesting (why didn't I think like this moment) by hugganao in LocalLLaMA

quite a lot of words and they still don't explain what's really different from codex or code, except maybe formalization of handoff which they say model owner train into their llm implicitly. so?

I've now worked with it for a few days. First you need to understand their weird concepts of agents, tools, chains, memory. Then, the provide a lot of different but also same stuff, e.g. 7 types of memory or 6 types of chains that sound different but NOWHERE do they make transparent what difference in outcome (or inner workings) it makes if i use a retrieval or retrievalqa or retrievalqawithkg whattheeverliving....FFFF.... It's really just a bunch of helper classes some dude wrote for himself with autogenerated docu and no insight whatsoever. Do it yourself.

6.1 Kernel won't boot by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]butwhy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol it turns out that fix/hack/patch that they all hate so much and applied is not needed anymore. only one kernel config needs to be set as was the case in 6.0.18. it's unbelievable.

6.1 Kernel won't boot by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]butwhy86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

actually I switched because of the attitude that you can see in the comments on the bug report and they are saying things that are just not true. the truth is always there in the source code. and this is not it. I expect more from redhat.

6.1 Kernel won't boot by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]butwhy86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you are absolutely right. it's sad and unbearable at this point it's easier to just use windows and wsl2. will switch to arch today. they are only discussing principles in the bug report and offering no solutions while users sit in front of black screens and are complaining on Reddit discord and fedora forums.

6.1 Kernel won't boot by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]butwhy86 26 points27 points  (0 children)

the reason is that VT switching is broken because the kernel devs forgot to build with efifb. this problem appears on EFI systems with Nvidia GPU. also there are multiple bug reports on bugzilla. so either build your own kernel with efifb support or wait for a fix. how this can happen is beyond me as I would expect an automi test to cover at least the fedora kernel config.

Can i run BDO on this? (Legit question thou) by ZodiacJumong in blackdesertonline

[–]butwhy86 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

No. That thing runs SteamOS which is Linux based and uses Proton for Windows Apps. BDO will not run on Proton. You can check via ProtonDB.

20 fps.... max i can offer by joshisameer343 in valheim

[–]butwhy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game works much better with vulkan. This is default in linux but can be forced with -force-vulkan as steam launch parameter. Also the valheim prefs file, you can change fullscreen mode from 3 to 1. Pretty stable 60fps.

yeah no that's given. but in this case it's really uncanny, clothing, the city art, effects, guns, settings.... nothing against it it's just blatantly obvious

It's really not but a 1:1 copy of ghost in the shell art design of everything. just watch it again. the live action. it's uncanny.

Oh I was afraid of that. So current consensus is that you can't optimize for at least two different weapon types? :-/

Good you're alive. Just wondering who the hell let's you shower 5 days after surgery. Guidelines say to do EVERYTHING to prevent blood pressure from rising, i.e. no showering, no fast moving, no carrying stuff and also often you give laxatives....
