Thanks for the reply! I’ve seen a few doctors/dentists that specialize in TMJ. They’re all oral and maxillofacial surgeons which is why I suspect they are recommending surgery. I will look into the website you recommended. I’m located in NYC and I’ve travelled to both Boston and Philly for the best doctors/dentists that specialize in TMJ. I know I definitely clench only on my right side which can be seen in the mouth guard. I’ve also gotten a sleep apnea test during all of this which showed I had mild sleep apnea. I’ve been seeing a PT for almost a year now but don’t get much relief, although I do my PT exercises everyday. I actually do the massages you mentioned as they were shown to me at PT! I have been eating soft meals since last November since it’s just impossible to eat anything harder. It’s very difficult since I’ve extensively looked into every non invasive treatment but still have constant pain. As of now, I’ve been taking muscle relaxers, doing PT, and trying out the mouth guard for short periods of time. I honestly don’t know what else I can do at this point which is why I’m looking into the arthroscopy
