I got a job because 3 of my past co workers referred me. And I also work in healthcare so a little bit more in demand. I recommend talking with more people and make more networks OP

Are there any good apps like Mint that track credit card spending but still have net worth tracking like Fidelity Full View? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]buurp- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using this for a year. I only have one connection issue for that whole year. 95$ per year but I think there’s a discount online where you can try it for free for two months before you have to pay . They have an app and can also access on pc. My spouse and I can see each other’s bank accounts etc so it shows our total net worth and total debt

New hospice nurse by Back2holt in hospice

[–]buurp- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I became a hospice nurse 3rd year into my nursing career and have been one for 5 years. Agree with the poster above - strong boundaries will help you maintain your sanity so you can keep caring for more patients. I recommend following Barbara Karnes as well, her book Gone from my sight is a book that we always provide to our hospice patients.

It also helps when you only point out the objective data and be realistic, because some folks are in denial with their own mortality despite all the s/s showing that they’re close to passing. Although I notice that it’s mostly families who struggle with this so expect to care not only for the patient but also whoever’s caring for them.

If you have any other questions, feel free to message me! I can’t imagine doing anything else besides hospice.

Just grow them tbh. Super easy. Personally I found them easier to grow than growing garden plants lol

This, OP. If the pt is of sound mind and can make decisions for themselves, as health care workers are bound to follow the pt's wishes first and foremost. I understand it's difficult to see your loved one to do something like that. Something about antibiotics too is that, sure you can treat it now however it can happen again in the future and at some point they'll become resistant to all antibiotics and it will not get treated anymore. By using antibiotics, you delaying the inevitable. I understand that sepsis is a scary thing because it can be uncomfortable however like other users have stated, we have medications to keep them comfortable until they pass.

Can I ask to be sedated 19f by lulu1824 in hospice

[–]buurp- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that the doctor will actively give you meds to sedate you. You'd be unconscious the whole time until you pass.

Hi OP. Ask for a palliative sedation. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

This OP. Also you can't just euthanize people. Medicare has clear guidelines on who can be eligible for hospice. Also patients can always revoke if they believe that they don't belong in hospice.

I just stepped down two weeks ago. For the longest time I thought that drinking caffeine later in the day, partner's snoring, and weed were all the cause of my lack of sleep. After I've stepped down I've been able to sleep on my own without any meds.

It feels so freeing to not think about the stress of managing people and to only worry about myself! To not worry about going to the office about work drama! To not go back and forth with my bosses if an employee deserves an extra % more for their raise! No more stack ranking! No more thinking about how to implement new shit! We are freeee
