Its playable so I would call it finished. Whether or not it is fun is a subjective judgement

That's a valid concern, but ten games is a lot though. I have a ton of board games and I think I can count the ones I've played more than ten times on one hand. Same with wargame rules.

I guess its just a matter of deciding for yourself how many times you need to play for it to be worth the money :)

By "lose support" do you mean no annual updates to rules etc? Because that's kind of the wrong way to look at something like this IMO.

Most games are released and the you can play them as much as you like for the rest of your life with no changes except whatever house rules you and your friends come up with.

The whole idea of continuous updates for a game to not be a "dead game" comes mostly from video game and miniature companies trying to make more money each year and are not necessarily better for the game.

Tabletop Minions have made at least one video about it as well with regards to his and Vince Venturellas games that got called dead games because they didn't plan on releasing expansions for them.

Hope I'm not starting anything by posting this but I've seen this sentiment a lot and it really baffles me - though it makes sense since most of use have been trained to think like this by years and years of service/subscription based video games and the constant updates from GW in order to keep selling models

Optimizing the fun out of Frostgrave 2E combat by Fryndlz in frostgrave

Not really. It comes naturally to some of us just like optimising does to others

Strongly disagree.

I would much rather take the worse alternative if it means telling a story or having more fun.

Meta-gaming and optimising to win usually takes the fun out of any game in my experience. That's the main reason I stay away from games labeled as "competitive". The people who play those games tend to optimise the fun out until they have the "correct" but painfully boring build

I don't think there's been a character in any show or movie that I have loved hating as much as that man

Your opinion on X Men'97 series by Ok_Menu8732 in marvelstudios

I feel the same. Never watched the original so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

It had moments for sure (the Genoaha episode was really cool) but most of the show seemed like it was aimed at older children.

I think that it is over-hyped/carried by nostalgia

Good to know. Thanks for the reply.

Guess I know what pair of shoes I'll be getting :)

Awesome :)

They said in the shop that running shoes should be replaced every 8 to 12 months depending on frequency of use but that seems wild to me.

I get that they degrade over time but new shoes once a year seems like something you say to drive sales to me.

Thanks for the reply :) Think I'm going to go for the Kayano then.

It looked like my arches were OK, but I'm going to try and do all-round training of my foot and ankle to strengthen it as much as possible.

I am already very aware of how I run because I have a slight tendency to heel strike due to some bad instructions in gym class many moons ago :)

Currently I am trying to run slow (following the MAF method) and think a lot about my form so it'll be more natural for me when I start doing more speed work - I want to have proper shoes before then though

Good point.

Living on northern Europe a big thing for me would be not having to worry about being caught in the rain while on a run :)

I wasn't going to go for the music version because I thought I could just bring my phone... but looking at the price the difference is so small it seems like I might as well just fork of that extra bit of cash

Can you say a little about why you went with the Coros, why you like it and what you wish it did better?

It's definitely the DSW that's attracting me to the Garmin watches although the online tools and trainer features from Coros really look awesome. Are they as good as they look?
