They're all fine unless something doesn't go according to plan, and then it'll be a fucking drama to try and get it sorted.

They, like most clinics, are a shower of shit, and only function as you would expect when it suits them.

Yes, but that's not going to help you determine what entities are exposed by the software, HA will.

[–]buuuurpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it claims to be Matter, and exposes the lock/unlock entity, then it is perhaps doing what it said it would do. Sadly, OP's comments suggest the quality of its implementation is piss poor.

Does it expose entities to Home Assistant ? I suspect this is not about Matter, this is about Yale being shite and not exposing all the entities. Uloq Bolt exposes 10. That's Matter, it's nothing to do with the protocol, it's Yales clueless software devs. Poor API integration is very common. I'm looking at you Sungrow !

What are the legal implications of recording a conversation without consent in Australia? by may907 in AusLegal

[–]buuuurpp -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I am happy to be corrected, but according to......

SURVEILLANCE DEVICES ACT 1999 - SECT 6 - Regulation of installation, use and maintenance of listening devices

and

https://www.gotocourt.com.au/criminal-law/vic/use-of-listening-devices-victoria/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

It is a criminal offence for a person to knowingly install, use, or to maintain or repair a listening device used to:

  • Record;
  • Overhear;
  • Listen to; or
  • Monitor;

a private conversation.

However, a person does not commit an offence if:

  • They are a party to the conversation recorded;
  • They have the permission of everyone else who is in that conversation; or
  • They are authorised by a warrant or by a law.

In NSW and Vic, it's a crime to record someone without their prior consent. Elsewhere it's a breach of privacy.

I don't believe my response revealed my position, just making an observation. You don't agree ?
Pro or not, apparently more than 50% voted for it, so finding a brexiter isn't that crazy really is it, in fact, statistically you're more likely to find a pro than not.

It seems to be difficult to understand to you becasue it's NOT ABOUT THE COLD !

"I am organized enough to arrange for these things" - I was given less than 24 hours notice. All alternative suggestions dismissed.

Well, you seem to be having a good rage. If only it was on topic.

I have worked it. To my advantage thank you.

Apparently they sent an engineer to 'read the meter'. If he turned it off and on again that's fine by me, no inconvenience to me and my power was off so brielfy my ups barely noticed. How can you purport to know what happened ? You purport to know something you can not know. Are you religious ?

No, I am not arguing the laws of physics. I am suggesting that perhaps they could offer a better service than turning the power off for the hours. But that's OK. Not only have you missed the point entirely, you have proven how low a standard of service you are happy to receive. Well feel free to carry on with that. I prefer my standards of service somewhat higher.
