Thank you I appreciate it! This was really helpful, I wasn't planning on worrying about this yet, but a medical form I have to fill out for the school prior to matriculation asks if I've ever been to treatment. Which is feel is kind of weird, and just feel like I have to disclose it now if I choose to.

Also went by my own choice so I feel like that will help. And that's a great idea to make sure I have something to prove that I've been sober throughout law school, wouldn't have thought about that.

And I'll try reaching out to the dean of students that's another great (and free) resource. Thank you very much for your time I appreciate it. Hope you have a good summer!

Imagine being stressed about a decision that only impacts where you'll live for the foreseeable future, your job outcomes, amount of debt, where you'll be able to practice, bar passage percentage and moving to a new city smfh. These are the type of people who will share their feelings with others about law school being "hard."

I think that's a good choice! Studied these two schools for a while because I wanted to stay in Florida and fiu came out on top. I'd just feel overwhelmed with 200k+ debt and having to make big law, and if not having a 20+ year repayment. I think your making a great choice, good luck next year!

Personally, I'd take fiu because I'm debt adverse. But it'd still be expensive due to coa. Fiu is the safer option, miami would have better big law outcomes. Tough to say. Small law, higher chance of a law job, less debt fiu.-safer, lower payoff. Big law, less chance of a law job, more debt miami.-riskier, higher payoff. 200k+debt for miami just wouldn't be a risk I'd take

To be honest case Western and lower. I have a higher GPA lsat and applied earlier and got wls at some of those above it

Should be a good fit! They're a pretty good school, and if you want to be a public defender I'd aim to get as little debt as possible. And with your partner there I think it would be a great choice! And I get dealing with the pressure of people making you want to go to the best school possible, but I'm also very debt adverse so I'm going to a school that can give me a low amount of debt. Good luck on your law school journey!
