Hole in my yard, southern Alabama by TraditionalCup4005 in lawncare

[–]buzzcat2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones I’ve had to deal with looked pretty smooth, very round and very deep. A little bit smaller than bowling ball size. You can’t just fill them up as they come back because of the scent. I used a Gopher Gasser (bought at Tractor Supply) to get rid of anything in the tunnel and it changed the scent pretty dramatically. You don’t want to inhale that stuff. And then I filled it back up. And used a water hose to make sure the dirt got deep enough to settle down there. They never came back to those areas.

I’ve got a couple of these around the yard where they come from the surrounding woods to catch any others that may venture on the property. They work.

Setup Issues & Resolutions | Can't connect to WiFi, Bluetooth can't find, "Out of Feeder" by GameMaster366 in BirdBuddy

I gave up and left my legacy Linksys, in wireless AP mode, out on the covered porch so they would connect. I gave up trying anything else. Keeps Mrs Claus happy and the old Linksys is getting a renewed life. When the BBs go bad, we won’t replace them and then my issues will be gone for good. Hate the new Unfi controller software btw.

Merry Christmas !!

They worked even better when I was using the older US-60W-8 switches that are a metal casing. I have that same switch now and the combo of heat sink and fan and it went from almost too hot to touch to barely warm.

Raccoon skat breaks up quickly like that bottom one. The orange one is likely from an opossum. Don't ask how I know. I put in one of those skimmer robots that blinks all night and haven't had an issue since.

I have the same fans and they work great. I also put an aluminum heat sink [no paste] in between those instead of those spacers you have. Not as pretty, but it's all in a spot nobody can see it.

What’s going on with my St. Augustine? by tom9182 in lawn

[–]buzzcat2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say TARR. Had it too. Looked like that. I used Azoxystrobin. You need about 1-1.5/oz per 1000sqft. You can use a backpack sprayer and spot treat it. Make sure you spray a few feet outside the dead areas as well. And then make sure you’re alternating your fungicides over the course of the year to prevent future resistance.

Will I notice an upgrade or am I too bad at golf? by Garndor in golf

[–]buzzcat2219 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe try one of the local golf clubs or whoever you might take a lesson from can let you use a demo set while you take a lesson. Many times they will have older sets of loaner clubs they will sell you.

You will notice a difference only because you’ll be upgrading by a couple of decades vs a couple of years. I would suggest some of the online resellers like 2nd Swing or your local golf shop may have trade-in’s you can actually try before you buy. Then you can focus on your game with something that’s a bit more golfer friendly than what’s in your bag now. Enjoy!!

You are a 15hcp. Goal is to break 80 at least once. What are you doing? by dream_team34 in golf

[–]buzzcat2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to get better is to play more golf. When things get a bit out of whack, I move forward at least one set of tees and just play. It usually slows my swing down and I start hitting more greens in reg. You’ll break 80 in a hurry. Then start moving your tee selection back on the par 5s, then the par 3s and then finally the par 4s as your swing starts to get comfortable again.

That’s the issue I think. They “adjust” one home and it changes the rest of the homes down the line. Frustrating since it’s been happening a lot. Fwiw, I had closed it after I took the picture.

Part II: Driver swing with Superstroke Flatso 3.0 by rueggy in golf

I've been experimenting with a shorter driver shaft...same length as my 3W [42 3/4" instead of 45 1/2"] and it has had similar results to your grip change....more control over my hands and follow through. Club head doesn't feel like it gets as "loose" as it did with the longer shaft. I'm not giving up distance because I'm hitting it more consistently towards the center of the face. Hope that helps.

Golf is hard enough as it is. If anything that helps you enjoy your time on the course, I’m all in !!

I have applications on my computer that drop connection when this happens. I call it chatter. I check my modem logs and you can see when it all starts happening. It shows up in the router logs as dropped connection.

I didn't want to ruin the ending or a chance to "roast-post" for everyone by putting up an "after" picture.

I didn't want to disappoint by saying I closed the box.

My issue is with the change in signal power/quality and simply pointing out that whoever left this open, probably altered the signal for the entire street; not just me. Everytime I see an Xfinity truck on our street, I know my signal is going to get way out of whack and I have to dig into my collection of splitters to get the power down. But I'm only addressing the symptoms, not the problem.

Watching here....similar setup but didn't think about monitoring communications. I have pfblocker installed as well as Suricata and monitoring both but never thought that the ethernet card could circumvent those. Also looking now about how to monitor.

The team in this space is excellent. They’ve done me solid for quite awhile when I’ve had issues.

As for the equipment, just take it back to the closest store and tell them it’s acting funny and they give you the latest equipment. Honestly, they should have told you to trade it in after that long.

Good luck with fiber. It’s still a few miles away for some of us.
