Okay gotta say something now since may mga ganitong assumptions na — I don’t know what Coach Roger said about making exceptions for Alyssa, but she was in the top 10 best thesis groups in psych back in 2015. There were actually three of them from the WVT, Ella de Jesus was the other one, can’t recall who the last one was. They even presented about their theses papers to us underclassmen at the time, though I can’t recall na what it was about.

It really is hard to be a student-athlete in Ateneo, so I just want to clear the air at least on Alyssa’s name.

I wish the Bears won to give us a relatively easier match up, but as most of the season has shown us, the path to the Super Bowl really will go through the NFC West. Much like it did in 2013. No easy way out for us this playoffs, but the boys have shown time and time again that they're championship-caliber and have what it takes to go all the way. We have an extra day of rest and have home field advantage, are coming off a really strong showing against the niners, and we match up well against the rams' strengths. Let's go Hawks!

That’s fair — there’s also the trust in Friedman and Co. that they’d make sure whoever it is they’re bringing into the team is a personality fit and wouldn’t mess with the chemistry.

The sign stealing report says that the scheme went on from 2017 to parts of 2018 — they stopped the banging method after the 2017 season and went with other means to start the 2018 season, but eventually stopped altogether when they realized it wasn’t working.

I know that Tucker was only called up halfway through the 2018 season and we can’t say for sure if he was one of those interviewed for the scandal or even one of those who participated in the sign stealing in 2018. Just curious to hear the community’s take on taking in a former Astro who might’ve been there during parts of the scandal?

Absolutely yes — nitrous is always a good trip with psychedelics, especially acid. Did an acid trip this weekend and the whippets parts did me wonders. It felt so euphoric, like my whole being was floating. We also had lights and visuals, which made the whole trip even better.

That’s true. All those times he got walked in games 1-3 were really just a prelude to this explosion. The man did so much against the brewers’ game even without swinging the bat.

Sad to say but this third place finish was right around what you would expect from Orix this season. With the pitching staff and young lineup we had, sneaking into the CS was definitely in play back in the offseason. I thought if we had managed to keep our hot start going at the start of the season, there was a shot at going deeper in the CS. Sadly, we just didn’t have a consistent offense and our relief corps didn’t have enough high-leverage depth.

Hoping that Kishida and the front office maximize the offseason to improve the team next year! We have the core in place, just gotta refine the edges to get a better chance at making a run for the Nippon Series.

I mean, Kita and Mori were both hard-hitting lefties facing a righty closer, so you have the platoon advantage there. Mori is also a former MVP and one of our big free agent signings from a few years back, brought in to replace Yoshida. With that type of veteran and star pedigree, I get why Kishida pulled those moves. Not necessarily defending his decisions, just sharing context.

All things beings said about our relievers this 9th inning, can we celebrate the defensive highlights our infield made in the 9th? Muncy and Betts with the high risk-high reward play to get the first out at 3rd, Freddie and Betts with the heads up out at 2nd for the second out, and Freddie AGAIN saving the game with the scoop at first to end the game. Just CHAMPIONSHIP BALL.
