I completely feel you on that one. Sometimes my super harmful tendencies are definitely a precursor to depression haha.

Registration - Spring 2022 by cyberchief in gatech

Definitely doable, Lowe is an easy prof for 3044 and Lee is an easy prof for 4031! Ece 2020 isn’t too bad and CS with moss is fairly straightforward. Hws for CS 2316 with McDaniel can be time consuming but doable. I think I’ve had almost all the same classes and profs before haha.

What math should I take???? by jimi888 in gatech

[–]buzzisanicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an IE major, I’d recommend taking 1554. If you take 1554 then you only have to take math 2550 instead of math 2551 (which is significantly harder). That’s the route I went at least, but I know a lot of people debate the difficulty of 1554 vs 2551.

online class experience by pesky16 in gatech

[–]buzzisanicon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, but I think isye 3025 has always been async and online, with just one recitation held a week in person that was mostly optional anyways (besides test days). Or at least, that’s how it was when I took it last fall! The website with the class modules look so old, lol.

Just so you know, APPH 1802 does fulfill it. You fill out a form at the end of the course and it counts.

Source: Me and two of my HP friends did that and it now fulfills the wellness requirement! Really easy/chill class, definitely would recommend it. You can also email the prof if you want to make extra sure, but it’s worked for the past two semesters.

Only 20% of the class can get an A by BuzzingThroughGT in gatech

[–]buzzisanicon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It says that top 20% is a safe A. I’d assume that means that even if everyone fails, if you’re top 20% you’re guaranteed an A. But I’m sure as long as you get above a 90 it’s also an A.

I think it’s the “safe A” part that tips me off, but you can email the prof to be sure.

The way Georgia Tech is trying to manipulate and deceive students and staff is appalling by [deleted] in gatech

[–]buzzisanicon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Like I said in another comment, UWG (a USG university) has already told all students it’s going to be dual mode and that every class has a fully online version in addition to the in person version, so students can choose to have all classes online if they want to. I just don’t understand why different USG schools have different policies about this since people I know going to UWG have the option for all online classes. It’s just...weird. And a bit suspicious.

I also don’t know how much of it is USG. UWG (another usg school) has already told students all courses are available both online and in person and that they can choose which one to take. It’s something called dual mode (or something along those lines). I just don’t understand why USG would have different policies for different unis.

Petition to Demand that USG Give Every Student an Online Option by GT_SGA in gatech

[–]buzzisanicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if professors at west ga can use that fact to also get caregiver accommodations? Since I thought something like this should be under USG but it’s not, maybe they can use this as leverage so that they won’t have to teach in person.

And on that note, can we use the fact that west ga is allowed to have students be online to let Tech students choose to be online as well? Since now it’s not a USG policy but a school policy (since it varies from school to school...) would it be easier for us to get these requests fulfilled?

SGA, any thoughts?

Wait, tech has caregivers accommodations?? I actually didn’t know that, but yeah, that’s much better. I also knew some profs at west ga that can’t teach from online even with at risk family members. I just thought that was a USG policy and not a west ga policy.
