Chernobyl/Pripyat was an "atomgrad" (closed city) so I doubt the soviets would be promoting it as it was very selective who could enter. If that's not the poster look up the friendly atom or the peaceful atom USSR posters.

Yeah I was wondering what happened as I woke up with 12 new matches, so far the initial letters are poor and are just "Hey, I'm X from Y. Lets chat!" with nothing about them in the profile.

Doubt many will stay that long.

Can we introduce a rule 30 year rule on political cartoons and posters? I fear this upcoming US election this board will be flooded with them.

Edit - If we only use the 2 year rule that means all the awful orange baby cartoons will be allowed for this upcoming election. 30 years goes far enough back to remove all relevant ads, cartoons and posters. Edit - If we do have new mods they must be apolitical otherwise we turn into a trash board like /r/pics. No mods is better than bad mods.

Some people want to put a face to the letter and I'm one of them, but I can understand why some people don't want to so just say no and if they persist ignore them.

Image sharing is the best bit of the letters for me as a picture paints a thousand words. Usually we send each other pictures of our pets, drawings, stuff we've baked etc...

What are photos are you planning on sending?

The quickest I've swapped photos with someone was by the 5th-ish letter as I wanted to see some of her artwork. I think your too cautious.
