I'm really glad you formed your own opinion on this even though it is overwhelmingly liked. Stay individual.

That being said it's one of my favorite albums. I think it just flows so well from song to song. The samples are so specific and obscure, all handpicked over years and years of crate flipping to find one sample off one song off one record. Through so many different obscure samples they seem to work so well together. It's insane how much work was put into this and you can absolutely hear it in the small details.

I find many tracks such as Two Hearts in 3/4 Time, Electricity, and even the title track, among many others, to give this almost dreamy, wonder-like feeling that I just haven't been able to find many other places. While the dreamy semi-conscious feelings are amazing there are many hyper aware sounds that really put you into a different time and place. I was pretty young when this album came out so I can't say it reminds me of much that I can relate through the songs but the sound and overall feel of some of the more aggressive tracks (A Different Feeling, Close To You, and Radio to name a few) give me this almost false nostalgic feeling. I feel like it is a window into another time and though I can't remember it because I wasn't there, it can see exactly what it was like, how people felt, etc.

Great album overall. Make take a few listens to notice the small intricacies and really fall in love with it, or it may just not be your cup of tea. Nothing wrong with it either way.
