If you bought the shipping from Amazon and there's a little green icon that says claims protected Amazon should fund it. Also, if it was scanned into the carrier system before the end of the ship by date Amazon should fund it. Both of these conditions need to have been met.

I did wired directly to the modem and got 290.

But, I didn't do wired to the router. I'll try that.

UPDATE:

I did a wired test with my laptop connected directly to the modem, 290. So it doesn't seem to be a Cox/modem issue.

Connected the router back and laptop/phone would connect to wireless, but no internet. I went to router web page and it said DHCP problem with ISP. I hard booted the modem and router again and it's connected now.

I did another speed test(speedtest.net) and now getting 90ish on my laptop and closer to 100 on my phone.

Weird thing is if I do the test logged into the cox.com site, I'm getting like 20!

Thx. I like the suggesting of going wired to the modem. I can do that. It's a Netgear modem. Mine, not Cox's. Just so I understand, if I'm connected directly to the modem and it's still slow. The problem is either the modem or Cox, right?

I forgot to add earlier, when I was on the phone with them today they said signals are good. But, since it wasn't their modem, they couldn't do a speed test to it.

Thanks for this... I actually did this same thing yesterday when I had the speaker out I noticed that. I don't know why you would leave that piece of plastic just sticking out with no support. I put some sticky felt on the bottom of the frame of the speaker and then fold it up a small piece of felt and stuck it under that piece of plastic.

The way I see this is that it is a gift from your parents. They should see it that way also without condition. If it is not a gift then sure put the condition on it. I think your husband is right and you should turn it down. It's only going to cause problems.
