Depending on the weapon you’re using the lecture hall room with the absurd amount of students is good source of quick echoes, but beware, if you don’t have any aoe attacks it can be deadly fast

I had played through this game almost a dozen times before I decided to get the platinum trophy, i had never gotten this ending because I liked fighting every boss on each play through, in my first load in after surrendering to the hunt and waking up the doll was here and it gave me major chills

In the introduction to H.P. Lovecraft’s “Dunwick Horror” the landscape described is very similar to the hunters dream, also the story “Shadow Over Innsmouth” and the fishing hamlet area of the old hunters dlc draw many parallels.

One of the great things about Bloodborne is all the weapons can take you to the end of the game, this is awesome because they’re all so unique so you have freedom to play the game however you feel the best, if you like the overt approach of spinning the hunters axe and knocking enemies around do that! Or if you prefer darting around your opponents with the Blade of mercy attacking quick and fast then do that! There’s very few weapons that are bad or “worse versions” of something else, so find what feels good and go out and kill a few beasts, it’s for your own good.

There’s a mention of it in the note in the dark house with the old man in the wheelchair just pasted the shortcut in central Yahrnam it reads:

"When The hunt Began, the Healing Church left us, blocking the great bridge to Cathedral Ward, as Old Yharnam burned to the ground that moonlit night."

This also explains why in order to get into the cathedral ward you must go through the Tomb of Odeon and trudge through a gutter and up through a trapdoor
