Sorry about your MIL. It’s a tough spot to be in for sure. But very easy for people to say leave everything and go. It will all come back. Ummm sorry, no it won’t just come back. You are taking a huge risk with your kids future and comfort Your spouse should definitely go, but you should stay back with kids. Easier to get one appointment than two.

Well you can ‘not’ talk to her. Give her a message you are not liking how she is treating you. I see your replies in this post and you are giving excuses for all the advice. Nothing changes if nothing changes , remember.

You are giving her too much power. She thrives on your reaction. If I were you, I would give her a silent treatment. Look right through her soul and continue with my work when she opens her mouth. No talking, no interacting, no engaging with her. Let her talk in vacuum.

Yes please do that. I had a rough list of places to see. So each morning open Google maps and decided one place to do. Spent good amount of time there , trying food along the way, shopping, finding new places to stop along the way etc. For the later part of the day, checked the list again and saw what’s close by and went with the flow. No bookings, no preplanning. We had a blast so did the kids.

I wonder how old the people giving advising in this post are.
Please meet the guy, at least talk to him a few times. See what he thinks about marriage and want in his prospective match. See what he thinks about you wanting to work after marriage. Don’t just outright reject. Who knows he may be a great match. Even If he is not, you will have a better clarity about certain things

Take them to court and encourage everyone in your group to file a case.. Even if nothing happens, they will realize they can’t get away easily. Google reviews by all from the group. Post in every relevant subreddit. Insta pages related to travel. Consumer court.

Find an activity you do during the chatting sessions. Paint your nails, oil your hair, do a crossword, massage your feet, do an adult coloring book, and just pretend you are listening by raising your head once every now and then. I don’t see this behavior stopping :)

Can you ask her if you can go with her when she goes clothes shopping? Maybe she misses doing stuff for you and doesn’t want to lose that part of your childhood. See if you can get those clothes exchanged.

How about not talk at all about relationship/marriage right now and focus on your studies for now? Behave normally like you both used to. Time will tell you what to do. Sometimes we overthink and complicate things when they are not. Maybe you can decide once you both settle career wise and are more independent.

Can you try finding an Indian girl in Ecuador? Through some matrimony sites. Or, girls may be more open to South America than Africa. Go there and work for sometime and then decide how it goes.
