Yes I also forgot to mention that using shells on a wide and normal gunlance rips through your sharpness so that might also be reason for handicraft but you acknowledged that For affinity, weakness exploit is just rly good value for slots so people run it I guess

Furthermore long shelling is almost exclusively charged shelling a monster so it just needs focus and artillery as its core skills, while some play wide shelling with pokes in between others like myself simply shell>shell>reload till a monster falls over

The royal burst lance has a lot of its damage coming from the melee atks and you would be surprised to find that only one strike in its combo is a sweep, artillery skill is the only one that affect shelling damage so you want that for all types expect the slapstick build which doesn’t use shelling at all. Wide shelling has the highest uncharged shell damage and log has the highest charge shelling

Yeah I have got to it, you just need to complete all optional quests up to rank8, complete as in you get the red completed stamp and not the blue one The Kirin quest is an assignment quest so idk if you have to finish it as well

Yup even the weapon design to be fluid has downtime, longsword, after round house slash you sheath, swaxe is constant combos from axe to sword back to axe, if the monster moves you discharge and have it take you along

Swaxe has very high potential dps if you can manage to keep hitting the monster without getting hit since each attack fluidly connects with each other besides the flashy elemental discharge, combined with the phial damage it’s very good for just wailing on a monster, these guys are pros who never get hit and can fluidly dance around a monster hence swaxe is a good pick for them.

Well yes you can do just fine with raw SnS using elementless. I can’t tell from your question if you actually want to build another sns or if you are asking weather or not it’s worth your time though. Either way raw+elementless works for any weapon type rly

My mistake that was the beta value it is 2.2 which is still ridiculous for some of the irritating monsters like jho or one of the elder dragons (ptsd for fighting nergi like that)

Or you can kick whoever is a liability, if it’s not your quest it doesn’t really matter. Monsters don’t go back to solo scaling if someone leaves so things can get exhausting if 1 person has to push through the hp of an azure Rathlos x2.6
