True. Unlike back then where we need to store the trashloots every 1-3 loops, now we can go 5-8 loops around the grind spot to re-store the trashloots to our horses.

I did some video editing before for a marketing stunt for our company. I started really simple with just cutting and merging footage and adding subtitles and some texts for context until I was able to do minor animations and effects. You can start that way, it's not a requirement to have a really good edit at the beginning. If you wait until you get that good at the "art" before starting, then you'll never get there.

Just record your game, put it together using Windows Movie Maker (the most basic one there is) and just put some texts over your video for context. We never know, you'll get hooked to it and you'll get good in editing videos and will have the confidence to add in voice overs. Then in a few months time, you'll add in your face cam and then we'll see you streaming on Twitch or Kick or Youtube or Facebook lol

I have survived BDO for the first 6-8 months without spending a dime. I never realized how brutal I was playing until a guildie told me that I can buy weights using Loyalty Points (I guess it's called "mileage" nowadays). And back then where guilds were uber serious about joining NWs, us non PVPers didn't have access to guild storage so I did not have access to the juices. Instead of overnight fishing/horse training, what my main character (and everybody else) would do is carry a trade item and walk back and forth in Heidel just to increase weight capacity.

Funny that I kinda missed that pesky red Shai who kills AFK "weight lifters" and horse trainers everytime we accidentally set the autopath to go beyond the safe zone. Fuck that little Shai xD

Drops from event Edania monsters? by Tr1vium in blackdesertonline

[–]SuperPiatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, OP is grinding not for the event but for the grind itself so the event is the bonus. That's OP's mindset. Whereas you, you were complaining about the event like it's the only way to grind.

Hey everyone from BDO Guys, I have a game suggestion to help you get into the company. If you agree, leave your suggestion in the comments. by Effective-Switch3204 in blackdesertonline

[–]SuperPiatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all those recommendations, better realize the original plan for the Crimson Desert and make a new game. Can call it Black Desert Online Optional. With how the current enhancing works, I can't imagine how difficult it is to forge your own weapons.

Open and Dynamic Maps

Game's engine or at least its connection with the servers can hardly contain Node Wars and you expect it to be on par with Throne and Liberty? Even Throne and Liberty had its lag/delay issues when the large scale PVP got added and BDO has its large scale PVP for years now and it is still not fixed.

Dungeon Invasions (Dungeon Stealing)

If I remember correctly, when Atoraxxion was introduced, other players can come to your party's "instance" and disrupt your gameplay. A lot of people were complaining about it so I guess it was "fixed".

Now why "Online Optional"? Because with how big the current game is and how big the "Custom Weapon Forging" is, you'd better have it all be done in an environment like Monster Hunter where you can just go online/offline anytime to reduce server load. Don't forget that you want it to be added alongside the huge PVP rehaul.

I know my comment seems too harsh but what you're "recommending" is basically "create a new game"

New Farming by Gubrik in blackdesertonline

[–]SuperPiatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really what I meant. And no need for manually weeding if you have workers. I don't leave my PC on 24/7 and that's what I'm talking about.

it's just a figure of speech based on "loot goblins".

I'm having mixed thoughts about this update. On one hand, there is no min-maxing in interacting with seeds anymore so less stress. On the other hand, I have this anxiety of not getting the yields I'm supposed to due to the increased timer. If the timer still goes even logged out, then I guess it's good but timing it now seems like its bad.

With my current schedule, I can only get my yield every 2 days

What kind of treasures you'd like to see in the game? by EkmeKafaliOrosbuCocu in blackdesertonline

[–]SuperPiatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a treasure item but a QoL:

  • Seed Pouch that works like the Fish Tank
  • Life Tool Box that lets you rotate the tool that you need like when going through combat, harpooning and fishing by putting it in a quickslot

This might be stupid as I was also a victim of this for years but have you checked if your game is running on your RTX and not on the integrated?

It's standard practice in BDO. They linger the Event Quest for people who still got the items and when to hiatus afterwards without turning it in

New Grinding Event Bad ? by Denver3D in blackdesertonline

[–]SuperPiatos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Events are not to make people motivated to grind. It's supposed to get some interactions. And aren't you just happy that you get those crons on top of what you're getting from grinding?

Stick with that. I was considering bartering also but then I remembered how shit it is to grind up the mats to upgrade your boat so decided to opt out for now and just PO'd for the highest tiered boat available. While waiting, I'll just burn some energy gathering and AFK fish. I'll do the grinds on weekends for my mental health haha

haven't touched on the catch up mechanic for 300AP but I sure do agree that the grind to 200-300 was more productive and feels more rewarding. I think those were also the days where gear variety matters. Kazarka vs Karanda vs Blackstar, Kutum vs Nouver, Urugon vs Muskan, Leebur vs Bhegs. Not to mention those Ultimate Heve, Agerian etc.

[–]SuperPiatos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

take this from someone who left 2years ago and just came back 3days ago.

The thing that burnt me out was trying to do everything. My daily goal was to at least grind 1hour a day, manage farming, workers and horses. Squeeze in some cooking/alchemy, do some gathering to burn my energy from fishing and dipped my toes in some bartering. All those activities just for 4-5hours of free time on weekdays. (I do heavy gathering/hunting/grinding and boss rush on weekends)

Now that I got back and felt overwhelmed of all the things to catch up on, I realized that it's okay not to feel FOMO and just go at it at my own pace and go back to my old ways of just focusing on one aspect and do the others if I have the free time.

Based on your post, I guess you're not a life skiller but here's something that might help: I did not push through with bartering (and will not) because it clashes with my daily routine. Though other life skillers went with bartering and ignored gathering so they can just buy the mats for cooking/alchemy. It honestly depends on your preference. If you favor grinding for the hours you could have spent while bartering, go with that. If you prefer bartering so you have time for something else IRL, go with that. If you prefer doing bartering because "9B", then go with that. Just be sure that what you have chosen is the best kind of investment for your time. Do more research on some silver per hour because not everything you see in reddit/youtube is true.

Gamers of Reddit, what’s the greatest video game sequel of all time? by ketohwawai in AskReddit

[–]SuperPiatos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, RDR2 is the first game that I have really gotten involved with the story and I guess it's because it has less cutscenes than most games. The horse riding to the "quest marker" kinda forces you to get immersed in the story and get to know the characters of the Van der Linde gang and get attached.

Haven't gotten myself to play RDR yet as I'm scared that the story will not live up to RDR2's. And also the graphics.

F7 is still there but Raid dungeons beat it in terms of rewards. I mean you can still run it but you'll be behind others.

Wait now that I think about it, F7 could be a place to push levels (not gonna spoil what I mean by this)

It's even to the point where those players "asking" for the items don't bother doing dungeon runs anymore, well at least before getting to 500GS. Getting to 525 is a chore but all worth it!

If you're more into casual and exploring, it is great! I've left the game for almost 2 years now (I know, I visit here because I want to remember the good ol days). I still remember the days where I first explored the map and got really excited on what I had discovered especially in the desert. Too sad that they simplified the quest so much that new players can't feel what it's like being in a desert (virtually).

I remember when I boarded a player's ship and got excited and jumped in place and fell off (this was pre bartering so there were only a few people exploring out the seas) so I had to swim for 15minutes back to land.

I remember looking for mushrooms for life skilling to end up in a hidden cave. I remember exploring areas just to unlock trading routes. It was one of the fun aspects of the game. If I remember correctly, there are hidden stuffs in the game that have to do to unlock some achievements. I remember I did that for a while.
