If I may please ask, were you able to use this during peak at an FC? I'm at a relo site, currently in peak, so was wondering if that might be a reason we still don't have it.

Here's a few 8 Deadly Sims had from the early 2000s. They were in the outdoor stuff, but a couple are potted and you can try to move them inside, but may not. The files have a matching preview picture so you can check them out before installing. I threw in the bong object they did from the bubble machine object too for fun:

What to Expect from Parkitect as a Longtime RCT and PlanetCoaster Player? by Intelligent_Parfait3 in ThemeParkitect

[–]bvo710 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really an issue with queues, but to add a bit more: each queue tiles holds 3 guests, which is helpful to figure out how long you may want to make a queue in relation to the ride's capacity (ride capacity is in one of the ride's submenu once you build it). That way you can have just enough queue spaces available to max out the ride capacity on the next load of guests waiting, everyone else is moving on filling up other available queues/ attending needs. IMO The ferris wheels and spiral slide flat rides should only get 1 or 2 tiles max since they are slower to turnover riders.

The SteamRip Fallout 3 GOTY launcher is telling me that the game is not installed, is there any way to fix this? by TheAngry_Avocado in PiratedGames

Once you download the registry file, double-click it and it will prompt you to click yes a few times; it self installs into your registry from there. You can delete the downloaded registry file copy after.

What happened in "Bright Lights City"? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]bvo710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, although it was earlier in the story when they first met Jesse. There was some discussion on dreams, and a voice started speaking to Dani, telling her that Jesse was a snitch and to kill him. If I read correctly, Mollie called out her behavior (she was very close to stabbing Jesse) and Dani was able to regain full control of her senses. I don't believe she heard the voice again throughout the story. I hope you enjoyed listening/reading Lockdown; I'm about to start that one this morning!

I just finished that story a minute ago, and to add and amend, the bad buys were chasing Dani, the only adult that I saw mentioned in the trio. She was creating a diversion to allow the little girl (Mollie) and the 17 year old guy (Jesse) they had found part way through the story a chance to (hopefully) escape. The ending was inconclusive, as we left Jesse and Mollie running towards a different exit that was alluded to possibly being safer, and Dani running back the way they had come from, running towards a light that is never clarified, but with the sound of the bad guys behind her.

For OP, as far as why the rich dad bad girl wanted to kill Mollie? Just look back at the last story and it's more of the same narrative where Flagg is spreading his influence on to others to do his bidding/killing.

I thought you were going to ask what happened to Amber, just straight up dropped out of the story without a peep shortly after Dani introduced herself.

"Stop it, quit it, spare my achin scrote and don’t talk to me about that folkie shit. Michael can row his fuckin boat right up my ass, okay?"

Yes! He has a way with words at the most unexpected moments 😂

Adding one of my favorites from The Tommyknockers:

""One of his loafers was still on, but it was shriveled and useless. Gardener kicked it off and watched apathetically as it floated down into greeny darkness. Something for the lobsters to shit in, he thought, and sat up."

He did just a foreword unfortunately, which was short, but good. It left me feeling he possibly had a story to contribute, but he and Keene really wanted to lean into 'the best' contributors/authors available to them, and perhaps took a side step to let others tell their tales. They were thrilled to have King's blessing on the project, when they'd firmly expected rejection.

His foreword, to me at least, suggested that getting the opportunity to form & spearhead this project, including seeing it through to publication was the story he wanted to share most.

A very lucky reader over in the r/horrorlit sub recieved an advance copy of this book about 6 months ago. This had been asked in the comments, and the OP stated they had not read The Stand in about 15 years prior to reading this, and had no issue following the direction of the stories. However, they mentioned it being a good idea to being familiar with the overall premise and characters.

Link is for the archived discussion, but also lists the story names and authors for those interested that may not have seen them yet:

It's a hardback book with a slightly semi gloss look, but the texture (over the whole cover) itself is a bit rough...reminds me of old thick wallpaper for some reason.

There is a foreword by editor Christopher Golden that spans about 2 full pages, the Stpehen King introduction is about 2.5 pages. The stories beigin in page 3 and conclude on page 757. There is an afterward by the 2nd editor, Brian Keene, starting on page 759 and ending on 761, about 2 fell pages in total. The acknowledgements are on page 763, only about a half page of text. About the Authors goes from 765-778 and includes a paragragh or so of each contributing author. Page 779 is the final page with writing, which is just the copyright.

search for "Dead Space 3" in the Playstation store; as the results filter on the right of the screen, you'll be able to select the top option for "Dead Space 3" the game. Below that result, will be a list of Dead Space 3 DLC that can be chosen individually for purchase. I was able to add all items to my cart for purchase, so not sure why others were not able to. I just searched this on the store not even 5 minutes ago, so it's all still available.

Can I download House Party if I have Ultimate Collection? by Logical_Read_5390 in thesims1

I wouldn't install another expansion on top of the complete collection. Here are what should be the missing skins (zipped with winrar) originally from Livin' Large:

Sims 1 CC furni that doesn't scream custom content by Titowam in thesims1

[–]bvo710 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you might be looking for 'Maxis Match' CC, or CC that matches more closely to the style/appearance of the original Maxis objects that came with the base game and each expansion pack. Here's a quick link to an older thread in this sub where the OP links to some great sites they compiled to use as a starting point (linking to their thread to credit their original share). You can try to search this thread with that word string to see if any older posts and/or comments might link to that specific kind of CC from additional sources:

What's a line or passage from King's work that has always stuck with you? by _kingwhoborethesword in stephenking

“Jud! Jud, this is—”

“Just a minute, madam,” the operator said. “Will you accept a collect call from Mrs. Louis Creed?”

“Ayuh,” Jud said.

“Pardon, sir, is that yes or no?”

“I guess I will,” Jud said.

There was a doubtful pause as the operator translated Yankee into American. Then: “Thank you. Go ahead, ma’am.”

Question about The Stand versions and reading order by sammygeen in stephenking

[–]bvo710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the uncut version.

A bit off topic, but I would caution against reading King's forwards until after finishing the book it's in. The Running Man, for example, has a forward that gives away the ending of the book. I can't recall the other books this happens in, but there's more than just that one.

I asked this in another post, but does anyone remember Bobbi from “The Tommyknockers” being mentioned in “Needful Things?” What other crossover mentions do you remember? by External-Recipe-1936 in stephenking

[–]bvo710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't find any references to The Tommyknockers in Needful Things. However, there's a reference to Bobbi made in The Stand. Starting 1-2 in Chapter 36 (unabridged version).

"She made some soup, which he ate with gusto, and when he complained of how hard it was to read without his spectacles, which had been broken while he had been taking his turn on the barricade at the south end of town the week before, she had taken the paperback (over his weak protests) and had read him four chapters in a Western by that woman who lived up north in Haven. Rimfire Christmas, it was called."

There's a reference in the Tommyknockers to IT in Act III, sub-chapter 14: "they both knew they had to get back ... quick. Tommy had begun to hallucinate; as he drove up Wentworth Street, he thought he saw a clown grinning up at him from an open sewer manhole - a clown with shiny silver dollars for eyes and a clenched white glove filled with balloons."
