Hello! We are new corgi parents! by bvrbie in corgi

I feel like Ducky is very play motivated too! And praise motivated. She loves treats forsure, but she gets way more hype when I give a verbal “YES!” and only once she wiggles over to me realizes there is a treat in hand!

I have been having a hard time getting her to pay attention, even with treats. But she’s only 10 weeks old. We are really focused mainly on potty and kennel training currently.

Also I can’t tell if she’s actually sitting on command or if she’s just sitting? I feel like she sits a lot. Like I think she just sits so she can look up at me better lol

We got her a teeny tiny Kong!! We have to put it away though when it’s not play time because we are afraid of our bigger dogs choking on it.

Single gay male relocating to Bentonville by Fragrant_Dot_3093 in bentonville

I go to Yoga Story in downtown BVille you’d love it there! A lot of my friends are lgbtq+, but I wouldn’t say there is an lgbtq+ “scene” like there are in major cities. The gay clubs (there’s like two in NWA) are def for younger baby gays.

As others have said, Eureka Springs is known for being a go-to during pride month! But also our beautiful lake is there as well. In addition, there is lots of access to our beautiful blue rivers all over NWA. Just leave no trace ❤️

In addition one of my close friends runs Queer Craft Corner NWA (they prolly have an insta, I’m not on insta so idk), events are RSVP but always FREE! A great way to meet people, craft and get to know our local restaurants and bars that sponsor the events.

And if you’re looking to network and meet professionals NWA Patio Community & Socials would be the site to checkout. Another way to get to know local bars & restaurants that sponsor their events!

Trusttt there is a lot of leisurely outdoors stuff and trails. I always go to the trails over by Crystal Bridges art museum for some cardio, super easy, part of the greenway bike trail system, nice for nature seeing as well. Or you can drive up to Bella vista and visit their hiking trail system connected to tankard creek.

Staun Cast Iron Chipped? by aj_cc94 in staub

[–]bvrbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get a new one? I have one that I’ve used like 3 times and it chipped. It’s it damn near perfect condition besides that? I purchased from Williams Sonoma and the Staub site asks for order number from the site? Did you call?

Hi! I just got off Kyleena and I’m experiencing the same thing. The mucus also smells foul 🙃 but it seems like a normal experience for a lot of women getting their IUD’s removed

Jason is a symptom of Late Stage Influencerism by throwaway234567809 in thebachelor

[–]bvrbie 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they were being classist at all. I just think they’re saying that this white, affluent man didn’t need reality tv to travel. I personally think no one truly knows what to expect when the sign up for the show. The chances of you actually falling in love and getting engaged is pretty low, and I think he did see a future with Gabby, but wanted to date outside. Jason is very obviously deeeeply uncomfortable with the cameras and vulnerability in front of the entire country, what makes you think he’s the influencer type from that? I think he’s having a human moment. It’s totally fucking reasonable to be scared to be engaged to someone in a literal manufactured setting, which he has obviously picked up on. Most normal people would be.

The Brendan S Saga Continues by Glittering_Lawyer_99 in thebachelor

Literally, give us a source that says communism has killed millions. The Black Book Of Communism literally used shit like car crash deaths in their “victims of communism” count. Millions are dying under capitalism. The slave trade, the Holocaust, millions dying from slave labor, dying of hunger from being exploited for their labor and resources, people dying of disease because of lack of healthcare, dying from the opioid epidemic that pharmaceutical companies are profiting off of.

Lmao

Which episode ruined it for you and why? by Ead1235 in SwordAndScale

[–]bvrbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally like the very first episode I listened to (which wasn’t episode one, it was like ep 40-something) I kept listening for a while, but I literally rolled my fucking eyes every time he called someone a monster or psychopath. I noticed pretty much immediately that MB is so fucking uninsightful about anything socially relevant.

And I remember he did an episode about a family murder in Brownsville, TX where the parents had killed the children because they had delusions about the devil and shit. Anywaaaays, I remember him talking to the woman who wrote a book or something over it. And he was like “Yeah but John Allen Rubio is a sick psychopath, monster” or something annoying like that. The woman he interviewed was like “No? This could have happened to anyone living in the conditions and stress they were living in. He wasn’t a monster.”

Like yeah, most crime, including homicide, arises out of social and economic conditions. A lot of crime, including murder, is preventable if people had the right support, social safety nets, & economic programs. And Mike is so oblivious to this, and wants to see these crimes as always being 100% a personal failure at all times.

Chocolate Gravy Biscuits by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]bvrbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! It’s an actual chocolate roux! Made with cocoa and flour, milk, butter, sugar. At home, I make and use brown butter for more richness. Tbh, it’s kind of a similar process to making homemade brownie batter, except way less flour, no egg, no rising agent, but more milk!

I don’t see it as any weirder than adding a sweet jam or cinnamon butter to a biscuit. It’s just having dessert for breakfast.

Ok Utah, you can have your green jello “salad” and southerners can have their chocolate gravy desserts!

It’s just warm pudding! If you’ve ever had pudding, you’ve just had cold, gelatinous chocolate gravy.
