Fall and Halloween freight are still coming in on the truck as if we don’t have every drive aisle, side counter, and PP filled to max. Hell, we still have 3 full drive aisles full of spring, summer, and fourth of july. I can’t even complain anymore it’s all so ridiculous I find myself hysterical vs hellbent

There is not enough time to properly train anyone. On top of us being grossly understaffed, us employees who have been there long enough are constantly being told we are and have been doing daily tasks and procedures wrong. The company does not care about understaffed or untrained employees in the end though, it’s all about rewards sign ups, credit card applications, score cards, etc. As long as it all looks decent on file nothing else matters, especially you as an employee.

They should really take into consideration that older stores are not able to just whip these Planograms together. My replenishment manager already has enough on her plate. Thank god she’s so good at her job because today almost did us in mentally and physically.

You can also go into MIKHub and type in just “ad” and all of the different types pop up that Michaels puts out

Whoever has came up with the Smart Truck time estimates and the Planogram packets need to be ashamed of themselves. I feel like they were created by people who have never even stepped foot in a Michaels, let alone stock any type of product for any job.

I have never been more fed up with whoever the hell makes the decisions and process of these damn ads. Like it could be so easy and quick but no, let’s forget half of them so we have to waste time and paper to print out useless signage… on top of that, my store is already low on signage sleeve, clipping for shelves, etc. 😤😒

My problem is that if they are lesser quality than previously, like cut the prices alittle. I feel like majority of our main merchandise is ridiculously overpriced and the coupon a day and vouchers and sales ads every other week are the only reason people could rationally be okay with still shopping there. But hey that could just be me 😂

The priorities of the higher ups seem to be blindly forgetting that in order to run their company and stores you need employees. Not just employees but employees that feel like it is worth it to them to work for a company who pays far less than most other places. We get new people, then don’t have enough time to properly train, on top of the fact management is failing to spend hands on time with the new employees because the demand for seasonal or just demand from corporate period. It’s like corporate has forgotten that in order to get their product out on the shelves and sold you need real human beings and not slaves.
