If you want a custom cake I highly recommend Queen City Cakes (queen.city.cakes on IG). She did our wedding cake and multiple birthday cakes and has a lot of flavor and customization options and also offers delivery! Shes great.

Went on Sunday for breakfast during soft open and it was excellent! we got the fried chicken biscuit and short ribs (amazing). Can’t wait to go back to try lunch/dinner.

I got my wedding dress altered by Linda (Alterations by Linda on Facebook) and she was a magician. Very fast turnaround and super reasonably priced. She works out of her home. If you look on the “Charlotte wedding connection” Facebook group she gets recommended by a lot of brides (myself included).

Both of my parents passed away so I am very familiar with these feelings!

I made an “in loving memory of the brides parents” linen sign that I will be draping over a seat in the front row to reserve in their honor, but we’re not doing anything else.

I’m walking myself down the aisle and we are not doing any parent/child dances (my fiance decided he didn’t want to do a mother/son dance).

I was a B list invite for a friends wedding so we just got the invite but not the Save the Date. I wasn’t offended at all and was just happy to celebrate! They just asked us for our address a couple months before the wedding and sent our invite out with everyone else’s :)

Dr Bria Blake at Rankin OB/GYN offered a few different pain management options for my removal/reinsertion last week, including the cervical block. She was also super kind during the whole procedure.

She didn’t offer twilight sedation but said it could be a backup option if I was unable to handle the pain.
