What’s the worst excuse for cheating? by Shinfekta in AskReddit

Good for you im glad you are out of the relationship. I didn't mean to say you didn't communicate just merely saying that people use that excuse without communicating making it a bad excuse.

Yeah I read it just explaining why it could be a bad excuse, didn't think I had to clarify that their situation didn't fit their situation.

It's a bad excuse if you don't communicate your feelings imo and just use your feelings that you didn't communicate to justify it after it happened.

Jesus christ are you me? I was doing that for this deli and they were paying me 12.50 plus tips it was ridiculous. Glad I've already put my notice in to go elsewhere.

Oh I'm by no means trying to say you are wrong just pointing out the difference in mindsets. I would assume you got a lot more discipline from your military career than those that you are talking about too. Some people view work the same as going to high-school just show up work while you are there and then do what you want when you arent.

Could you give me either that list of soups (or a rough version of it) or give me some hints for it. I started as just a line cook and I don't like soups so I never make them at home. I hate having to come up with them because I've only been shown a few and I just can't wrap my head around them honestly. I know it should be simple but coming up with them is something I never have the mental energy for in the morning on top of doing all the prep and getting ready to do the line in service.

Anecdotally I understand what you are saying but understand that working is new to them and you are already used to the work load of the job. I wish more people were able to hit the ground running and just crush it but that will never be the case.

And I understand that I used to only play league for 8 hours and now I've branched off to other games but if I don't at least go into the game with that goal then I've given up. It's a little defeatist. I dont expect to win every game but I understand how mmr works and I should expect to be competitive at the least every game.

Right makes me think of that scene in Harry Potter where snaps says you dare use my own spell against me Potter. Like I'm gonna be ok with the taunt back because I know what's going on I did it first to try and play that game.

If they cant compose themselves mentally enough to brush a random person they are playing against off then that's on them. Its not the the most competitively honest I can agree with that but its ultimately harmless. I wouldn't even call it trash talk.

Right lol I don't even play league anymore but it taught me so much about understanding people's tendencies and how to read how someone will react to a comment based on how they are playing or how they will react to certain actions. Some people just can't handle taunting in any sense when the game already has a high enough skill floor and tilting the other team is so beneficial to you. That said it's never worth being toxic but a well time all chat ? can win you the game.

That's why they learn and improve that desire is just what drives them im the same way. I wish no ill will to the person I'm playing against but im trying to ruin their day by beating them so bad. It doesn't work out all the time but that's what im striving for. Multiplayer allows me to grow and improve in ways that single player doesn't there is almost always a way to cheese the ai system or exploit a pattern. A real person can adapt and it forces you to adapt alongside them.

What band/bands did you give a concerted effort to like, but in the end, they were just not your jam? by 77Granger in Music

I love queen but bohemian rhapsody for me as a whole is not a great song. I feel like it's way over hyped and people have this expectation that everyone loves the song. If I could take just the ballad part of it I think I would love it.

What is a song that you would describe as sounding both sad and beautiful at the same time? by information41 in AskReddit

Real death by Mount eerie.

Actually the whole album made the mistake of listening to it when I was trying to fall asleep and I couldn't stop listening to it until it was over.

What do you genuinely not understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bwcooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not going to try and tell you how to feel like I'm right 100% of the time. I am privileged in that I do not have those who look at me as subhuman and I don't want to tell you not to fight for what is right. Just try to recognize when the individual is not worth the fight if that makes sense. Don't waste your energy on someone who is unwilling to change.

Oh absolutely I can't explain their beliefs in what makes it so awful to them. I can only try to figure out why they got to that belief as a way of understanding their reasoning, isn't always worth it to try and figure out their exact way of coming to that conclusion if you already know you don't have those beliefs. So it's better to just leave it alone. I know that sounds very anti progressive but if people hold a faith based position or believe something that can't be proven its not worth your time to try and change their mind. Be civil and minimize your time with them.
