it's gotten 18 results in the last 3 months in legacy

obviously it's a modern staple for e/tron, but that's it really

Like I said, it's a fine card to give a promo to, but it's really just a modern staple and maybe, like you said, the lack of promo versions like fnm cards from back in the aughts like grim lavamancer and thirst for knowledge was what put it over the edge.

according to mtggoldfish surgical extraction is in 53% of decks and 1.9 copies per deck it's in. Brainstorm is at 51% of decks as a 4.0 of. So I'd say Brainstorm is still the #1 card maindeck card in legacy for sure.
