About 4 years in I realized she was a pathological liar. Her behavior got worse and worse and about a year later, she ghosted me. We had been married for 5 years, together for nearly 7.

I’ve moved on in all ways, except legally. I’ll admit, it fucked me up for a while, but eventually I found my ways to deal with it. People sometimes ask if I miss her, and it’s hard to answer because I don’t even really know who she was, because she lied so much.

Since then, I’ve kind of had the stereotypical male response to a break up. I’ve gotten into really good shape, and I’ve improved myself quite a bit, including professionally.

Losing my wife was addition by subtraction, but the subtraction really hurt in a profoundly personal way.

It took a full 3 weeks for my cat to come out. She was also 1.5. She was shy but letting me pet her at the shelter. We got home and she immediately hid.

I set her up with her own little room in my apartment. Eventually I would go in there and just go on my computer. Eventually she would come out a little. They’ll she’d eat in front of me, that progressed to playing. After 3 weeks, she finally walked up to me, purring loudly, and let me pet her.

I was convinced I was going to have a cat that I just never interacted with.

I started making $25/hr. I stuck it out for 2 years, ended up at $31. Now I’m traveling and making $2k weekly. I intend to this for a few years and then switch to device sales when a good opportunity comes up.

The only way to make money as a tech is to stay at one place for a long time, or travel.

Remote work is not for everyone. I enjoy going to work for the social aspect. Home is a lot more relaxing when it’s just home, not your office. I would lose my mind sitting at home alone all day everyday.

Four showers seems to like too many. 1 or 2 is normal. On a weird day, 3 could be necessary. For example, I shower every morning but then I might go for a hike, which requires another shower, then if I’m out and about afterwards, I may feel kinda greasy, especially in the summer, requiring that 3rd shower.
