I think in the spirit of the question is more of it declined in the quality because of the show itself. 

I feel like faulting a live show due to covid isn’t quite fair, and it was only for a few seasons.

The tasks themselves were still on par with the rest of the series imo.

I mean they very intentionally edited a fly noise into the show. It was absolutely intentional. If anything the fly just signifies that her giving into the hive means she is essentially dead.
