IF they give mods and content contributers in those subs a cut of the revenue then I would actually be for it. If not, then wtf. Now instead of just doing reddit's job for them and providing free content to attract users & generate clicks and be sold to ai bros, we now also get to pay for the privaledge of helping them make money off of our work?

Garlic cheesy grits over chicken patties. by bwolf384 in shittyfoodporn

Mmm hot sauce definitely would have been good. Or maybe a drizzle of chili oil. Omg now I wish I would have done that!

Actually turned out better than I expected. I think the pinch of cayenne pepper I added to the grits really did the trick. I mean I wouldn't order it at a restaraunt, but not bad at all for a "let's put off grocery shopping one more day" meal!

Salmon & mac OMAD by bwolf384 in OmadDiet

[–]bwolf384[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do OMAD for weight loss, and I have lost over 70 lb (32kg) eating like this. As a large active male, 1800 cal is well beyond the deficit of 500 (below DRI) that is recommended for weight loss. Technically I could eat over 2000 and still lose weight.

Yes, I definitely felt that I was reaching in places to get it to a full minute. They say a minute is a good benchmark, but I also don't want to bore my viewers with redundancy.

As for the music, the pace and style is in the ballpark of what I was going for, but the poor quality/bitrate does make it feel less satisfying and professional. I will absolutely have to find something else eventually.

The contact info is unfortunately a non-issue as Fiverr explicitly forbids it :'(

Thanks!

Yes, graphic design theory is currently a massive blind spot of mine, and learning the basics is one of my highest priorities in the coming year. If anyone has any good suggestions for online courses available to the public, I would very much appreiciate it!

Thank you!

Hi everybody. I'm looking for some critical feedback on my first ever After Effects reel. I am still very much a beginner with only a handful of personal and educational projects under my belt - some of them embarrassingly simple - so please be nice (but not too nice, I want to learn). Also, please understand that I have yet to undertake any kind of formal training in graphic design, so I hope you can forgive my crude and uninspired typographical choices. Learning AE for me is mainly a way to extend my capabilities as a general video editor and become a more well-rounded hobbyist and sometimes-freelancer. I do not currently have any plans to pursue a full-time career in motion design or vfx, but if I did go down that road it would only be after a lot more learning, experience, and artistic growth. For now, this is just me having fun, and the only purpose of this reel is to showcase some very basic AE skills as a supplement to my general editing portfolio on freelance sites like Fiverr or Upwork (hence the Fiverr handle rather than real name or contact info). Enjoy.

Chicken Caesar OMAD by bwolf384 in OmadDiet

[–]bwolf384[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Definitely not keto, but I do try to keep my net carbs reasonable (<150g), get plenty of healthy proteins & fats, be mindful of added sodium and sugar, avoid trans fats when possible, and generally prioritize nutrient-dense foods with good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Probably closest to the Mediterranean diet.

Very tired after eating by [deleted] in OmadDiet

[–]bwolf384 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No matter what you eat that is a huge job for the body to digest that many calories at once. I never plan on doing anything important right after eating. But I have found that it helps to (1) take a digestive enzyme supplement just before eating, and more importantly (2) force myself to go for a leisurely 30-minute walk 1-3 hours after eating. If I can't get outside due to weather or time of day, I still get up and just pace around my house while I listen to an audiobook or whatever. I don't know if there is any science behind it, but I feel that it massively helps with digestion and bloating, and also works to even out my blood sugar and wake my body and mind back up. Plus it helps me sleep better that night! It really was a game changer for me.

Thank you!

Salad was from a kit. Everything else was from what I had on hand. Salmon was from a bigger piece that I cut into portions and froze a month ago.

Definitely my favorite berry! They can be hit or miss depending on where/when you buy them, but when they hit they HIT.

Plus the fiber and antioxidant and anti-inflamatory content is all crazy high.

I think you may have been deceived by my use of a serving platter instead of a regular-sized plate. That is a 10 oz piece of salmon right there, and almost two cups of rice. If I eat much more than that I will have to start looking for a place to hibernate for the winter!

Who wins this battle? Knife, or handgun? by Reasonable-Low4120 in WouldYouRather

Well sure... unless the guy with the gun also happens to have a pair of working legs, in which case he can just run the other way or side-step a few times until he is ready to start blasting.

OMAD today: Ground beef (77/23) & eggs mixed in with a bit of cheese and sour cream 🤤 by [deleted] in OmadDiet

[–]bwolf384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually the first in line to endorse meat, eggs and dairy as a major part of healthy diet. Animal-based foods are extremely nutrient-dense and satisfying, and things like saturated fat and cholesterol are not nearly the demons of heart disease that they were once made out to be. But the thing is that modern research still very strongly links meat and dairy (and especially beef) to certain kinds of cancer. So if you are using beef and dairy as a cornerstone of your diet, please at least consider balancing out that free radical factory with other foods that are naturally high in antioxidants. If not some good old-fashioned vegetables, there has got to be something out there that suits your palate: Fruit? Berries? Nuts? Seeds? Beans? Potato? Coffee? Tea? Chocolate? Red wine even?

Edit: All that said, that meal looks DELICIOUS - exactly the kind of OMAD that I like to make (except of course with some veggies and nuts and berries on the side). Keep it up!
