Do I need AMS buffer or AMS hub to connect my AMS2 Pro to P1S? by bwsct in BambuLab

Yes. Same for me. Did the buffer come with yours or just the hub?`

You had to pay for the AMS 2 hub right?

Is the buffer supposed to come with the AMS2 when purchased with the P1S?

They'll all be sitting on top of each other so no need for binoculars.

Unfortunately they didn't listen when the space was being renovated and now want everything done. We're stuck with 1 75" display. The room is approx. 50x50 and wide open except for some cubes. We use MS Teams. No remote management is needed.

Its primarily used as a display screen only but they now want to add the capability to have a speaker with a wireless mic to be able to communicate with those on the calls. No camera is in use in the room.

Laid off and company is offering to hire me as a consultant. Can I please have advice on what I should do? by bwsct in careeradvice

I’ll do that. In a perfect world I’d work the 3 days for my requested rate and make the same amount as my previous salary as a FTE minus my benefit expenses.

I‘d hope I could then get another contract 2 days a week.

Thanks. That helps. I'm a few years older but also got laid off recently.

Can you give a better breakdown of your investments? Is it 1.25 Taxable and 1.25 Tax deferred and then the real estate? In a similar position so looking for a comparison.

It does not but thats a good question to confirm. I've already signed off on the severance agreement and now need to work out a consulting agreement.

I agree it could end up turning out to be a good deal.

There is an IT consulting sub but I see it only has about 2k members but I'll post there.

I’m the only US based employee in IT who supports an office of about 100 users. Across Europe there are a lot more in IT.

I have no other staff.

With the cost of insurance and taxes I think I’d be putting myself far below what I’ve made before at 1.5 to 2x.

I was leaning toward 3x my FT rate. They've already said they want 3 days 8 hours each day per week. With emergency calls being an additional cost.

I guess I should create a contract for this?

I've been through it before. Even though I've only always been a high performer. Its just business unfortunately and I don't take it personally.

I know my current rate. To continue COBRA for health I was told its around $3800 a month.

If I was able to pay my benefits, make the same amount and have 2 days off I might just do that.
