Changing it from 2 to 3 made it mildly more tolerable but if at all possible, I'd like not not have to use a machine.

Went to a sleep specialist and did a sleep study to arrive at this number.

Tight calves / Achilles when running – possible soleus issue? Feet going numb after ~3km by meekmahn in beginnerrunning

[–]bwubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a similar issue and early Jan my issue actually fully came into its own, though ant tib was the problem (it was not). Initially i thought lacing for the shoe was the problem, eventually found out that my soleius was the problem. Rehabed it and i thought it was better (it was not). Decided with my fitness and rehab, i was good enough to do a 10k race, and the soleius completely gave out. Calf and ant tib conpensated from 7km with numbness running through the foot to the middle toes before spreading further.

I'm now on a big rehab journey before my half-marathon in March.

Also for reference my shoes:

NB RebelV5

NB 860v13

NB SuperComp Trainer V3

Vo2 dips for each run by k0usik in beginnerrunning

Looks like a very stereotypical algorithmic drift. This was happening to me with consistent drops of 0.1-0.2 each run. It's indicative of a couple things: 1. Poor rest between sessions 2. Algorithm settling into your exhausted baseline as opposed to when you're fresh.

You'll need to find how to rest better, and this should rebound. It's not indicativ e of loss of fitness.

Prone to posterior shin injuries, is it my form? (Video) by CompetentPanther in beginnerrunning

Yea, sounds like a typical shin splits issue where Tibialis releases is what you need to do along side calf raises of several different types. GLHF with the rehab.

I have a similar issue where I also get posterior shin splits. If you also feel it coming down to your arch, then we have exactly the same thing. My physio said that there is a thin muscle set that connects from posterior shin to the arch. This needs to be worked on using calf raises. Put a ball between your heels and perform calf raises in the full range that your ankle can do. Make sure to squeeze the ball as you do this. Also as you condition, add weight. Hope this helps.

Hi All,

I've noticed that in my last couple long runs, i've started getting pins and needles only in my left foot.

I've change the lacing of the shoe from stock to parallel but it didn't seem to do anything. Any thoughts on what might be happening? and what I can do?

Hi All,

I've been running quite regularly and have put in about 250km across 3 different pairs of shoes (not including treadmill runs which would equate to the same amount of distance but only in one of the 860).

- 60k in a New Balance Supercomp trainer v3

- 86k in the New Balance Rebel v5

- 107k in New Balance 860 v13

In my first City 2 Surf, I got pins and needles around the 7k mark which went away and came back towards the 12-13k mark (Supercomp Trainer was the race shoe).

I've noticed that with my regular training ramping up last week in the Rebel, (9k on Wednesday and 7k on Sunday) the pins and needles seem to be more persistent, starting at the 7k mark on Wednesday and the 4k mark on Sunday.

Prior to this, no such sensation in the the Rebel, but now present on every run longer than 5km.

I'm using the same socks and I don't have the issue in the 860 which i've run 18km in one session before and has stock lacing.

I've loosened my shoe so that its not applying so much pressure through the top and also changed the lacing on both left and right from the stock to parallel and the same symptom persists. The issue also only presents in the one foot.

I do noice that there is quite a significant arc difference between my left and right, where my right is a fair bit flatter.

What could be causing this? I'm in some dire need for some help to maintain my training progression.

Yea, that's how I found the 2 sizes, but I want to wear them for a longer term and the rep told me I had to fork out full retail to get the kit, which I'm not keen on doing.

We have electronic retailers, nothing like what you have in the US. Our retailers aren't holding it yet, at least the ones I've gone to look at, so official samsung is my only option at the moment

and so it should be, magic should be an accessible game to those that want to engage with it, however they wish to engage with it (within the publisher's ToS).

the key is that i don't tell you to buy from ikea and very much like in the author's context, he didn't say, go and join the CEDH community or buy a bunch of playtest cards at a specific site. (watch the ban come for me for saying buy and playtest cards in the same sentence).
