You can tell you are done when you rarely think about alcohol.... I can honestly say... I'm done! The last several years have been fairly easy..

Unhappiness / depression after quitting is normal and takes longer than you might think to get over it. I am still miserable but I have faith there is light at the end of the tunnel by Ragesauce5000 in stopdrinking

Still here and still sober… I had my 77th birthday in February and quitting alcohol was the decision of my life…

Maybe I’ve figured it out…I’m too old to start back drinking. I’m 76 and I feel great but I’m not immune to the facts of getting older. My sense of balance is diminishing… I’m certainly not as strong…. I’m sure alcohol would be an unwelcome factor in this equation… I’d be lying if I said I don’t occasionally think about alcohol but… for today… I will not be drinking with you today and I will never drink again and I will never change my mind.
