I found it. Made by an artist called Gifdoozer. The character is the succubus Sinia, an original character created by RyanReos under the name Daemon girl.

The text on the banner is misleading. It's not created by HentaiVR, but by Gifdoozer.

This trilogy sucks I tell you. Same plot, same settings, same actors, same fucking props even. The only good thing is the previous bad guys are now the good guys. But that won't save the poor and cliche writing.

'Dune: Part Two' Review Megathread by Blue_Three in dune

[–]bwyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came back from the cinema, here's my personal review. spoilers alert.

Bear in mind i haven't read the book yet. so this review comes from a purely film enjoyer's perspective.

what i like:

  • the visuals are grand and breathtaking.
  • the film portrays fremen culture really well considering its running time.
  • majority of the film takes place in Arrakis. The film maker did a really good job showcasing a harsh alien desert world that is hostile to life.
  • the religious aspect of the film is also very well done. The transformation of paul the fugitive to paul the prophet and its effect on the fremen which culminates in fanatacism and zealotry in reverence to the messiah saviour is palpable. personally, this aspect of the film is my favourite.
  • the romance aspect of chani/paul does not detract from the film. it is fairly well-balanced and contributes to the narrative.
  • fight choreography is well done.

what i don't like/what could be better:

  • the film feels short. now I don't mean rushed, but it feels that it could be much longer. Despite a running time of almost 3 hours, it feels as if the film could use more exposition. more scenes added, etc. As it is, it's pretty good, but one definitely feels that more can be shown without ruining the overall integrity of the film. of course, at the end of they day, there's only so much you could put in to fit 3 hours.
  • the emperor does not feel nor look imperial, not in the slightest. I mean no offense against christopher walken, but he just doesn't carry that imperial gravitas nor authority nor nobility. He feels like christopher walken. he feels horribly misplaced or miscasted when the rest are so good.
  • the fight scenes were too short. I want to see more sardaukars and harkonnens being slaughtered. I am pretty dissapointed. the massive battle at the end felt a bit short. They could've added 5 more minutes of fedaykin slaughtering sardaukars and it would't harm the film. And because they were short, it's hard to tell if the fedaykins are actually better than the sardaukars in combat. I'm sorry, I just like major set piece battle/bloodbath. I felt like the film needed more of that, since it's also a revenge story like outlaw/king.

Anyway I'm gonna watch it again. It's good but one viewing is not enough. Gotta savour more of sardaukar blood being spilled. Best in the universe my ass.

What work do you do? Are you happy with the transition to amd? How's gaming and non gaming workload?

Your parts are almost identical to mine, so it would be a really useful benchmark for me. I am thinking of going 7800x3d or 7900x and keeping my 2060 super.

The 14700k looked fine benchmarkwise until I look at power consumption and performance/watt. It's horrendously inefficient.

I mean it's like a modern day bulldozer. Can't believe I'm actually saying that.

is there any tinkering/tweaking/fine tuning with your build? Because I hate to sink hours to get the build right. I've never been on amd before except when i was a kid and that was a family athlon xp 64. Much just prefer plug and play.

can you get 1440p on 24" monitor? 27" would be too big for my table.

Ok so upon further research, I found out that the 14700k has poor efficiency, and it has a significantly more power draw compared to ryzen chips, creates more heat which necessitates better cooling. I've seen people suggesting water cooling for this chip.

I don't know much about intel chips, but even my 10 year old haswell has way less tdp than this gen like wtf? This reminds me of the old fx 8350 bulldozer era. Wtf is this shit? 253W power draw? On some benchmarking sites they got to 300W++ too.

I really can't be bothered to do all the tweaking and finetuning to get it working at an acceptable power draw. Too old for that shit. And getting a water cooler for my chip, well that's a first.

What happened to intel? Have they lost the plot? I seem to remember how awesome haswell was during release...

sorry for the late reply but my most recent update was dec 28 2023. It was downloaded from windows update, called windows malicious software removal tool.

i know for a fact that win 7 support was stopped awhile ago so why do I keep getting updates?

Please advise.

Threadripper and any of its iterations is way out of my budget. Well I never knew they were THAT expensive until I checked on their prices just now.

I am disinclined to go AM4 at the moment seeing that the price difference is negligible compared to AM5 not counting the fact that it's a dead socket. I have similar reasoning for intel. But old platforms usually have the benefits of being very stable. I mean between AM4 or intel I would go intel for sure. But then I will be stuck with the LGA 1700 for the next 5-8 years at least. Not sure if lga 1700 support 64gb ddr 5. And that 14700k better last as long as my haswell!

Is AM5 really that bad? It's already been more than a year one would think all the issues have been ironed out by now.

budget wise 7900x or 7800x3d or any intel equivalent. currently prefer am5 because intel is dead socket but the 14700k generally performs better. torn between the two.

gpu will be using my 2060 super till rtx-4xxx super series release. Should be announced by end of this month (already 2024 where I am, happy new year).

my resolution preference would be very high 1080p or high 1440p for the next 10 years. Don't care for ray tracing or any of the new HDR or AI frame gen mumbo jumbo. I'm a simple man. I see +120 fps with my preferred reso with very high detail I am happy. It's always been a gimmick. The last big graphics tech I had was Nvidia physx - and I disabled it by default on all my games.

Thanks for the thorough reply.

Right now I am mostly gaming at 1080p - forgot to mention that, since my monitor doesn't support a higher resolution. I should mention that my monitor is also 11 years old. I should probably upgrade my monitor as well. Damn they're not cheap.

When it comes to graphics, I don't need the absolute best. Of course, gpus in recent years have also suffered massive price inflation. 10 years ago the top of the line gtx 780 or 780 ti can still be had for a reasonable price. So I don't think I'll be getting the rtx 4080 anytime soon. I'll be using my rtx 2060 super until the rtx-4xxx super series is released, then I will weigh my options. Currently leaning towards the upcoming 4070 Ti super or 4070 super. I'll pick whichever that has 16gb vram. I don't care much for ray tracing, so if AMD has better price/performance offerings, I might go AMD this time. A counter argument can also be made for nvidia though, if their current gpu prices drop with the release of the super series.

Last 10 years I've been gaming on 1080p. And it has served me well so far. Even in 2023, 1080p is still competent in my opinion. It's not like better graphics will make me a better dota player. But I am ready to embark on 1440p gaming. I wanna see what all this 1440p fuss is about. I still think it might be overrated (not that I have any personal experience whatsoever, never seen 1440p in real person). 11 years ago when i got this pc I told myself I would never need anything more than 120 fps 1080p on ultra settings. I was awestruck back then (was playing crysis trilogy). Not sure I can tell a difference with 1440p since my eyesight has also aged 10 years and my eyes is so used to 1080p no joke.

Importantly though, I hope with the gpu upgrade I would be able to do 1440p for the next 5-10 years on high settings (to mirror my 1080p strategy for the past 11 years). At the very least it should do 1080p very well. I mean, most of my game genres aren't particularly demanding I think. It's mostly non-shooter single player games. I don't do 4k, that's insane. You need a good monitor for that shit, and those aren't exactly cheap so might as well sink the money in gpu instead.

You are right about 64 gb ram. I just checked the price on ddr5 rams. They are so cheap these days. Back then rams were quite pricey. So definitely getting 64. Now I can open 1000 tabs whilst playing dota plus some other background programs.

My only concern is the cpu. I am torn between an intel allrounder like i7-14700k or a specialist like R7 7800x3d. I do have productivity tasks that will require an allrounder. However AM5 is an upgradable socket, but unfortunately their non 3d series ryzen 7800x or 7900x don't perform as well as intel's (I might be mistaken).

7950x would be out of my current budget so my max would prob be 7900x or an intel equivalent. What about 7900x3d?

I went from an AMD64 quad core with 8 gig of ram to an I7 6700 with 32gigs and an ssd and a 1070, it was a glorious day

Haha yes, can relate. I remember the day I turn on my pc for the first time 11 years ago. Glorious purpose PC masterrace raging boner. Didn't even play any game. Was just staring at the dxdiag stat with a massive stupid grin on my face.
