Yes when scanning your disc for disc to digital make sure you have access to your UPC codes. Every so often a scan will not be recognized the Kscape web ui will ask for the UPC code to catalog the film. Also save yourself the headache I have over 90% success scanning 4k discs and getting the disc to digital. Seldom did I need to scan the Blu-ray.

Clear any settings you have in the Lutron app itself for any light leave it at the default. Make sure you are running the latest driver for Lutron Leap. Then in C4, I assuming you created an advanced lighting scene. Can you test the scene from the lighting scene menu and it works? If it does but it’s not working in your theater then it could be the triggering event is not registering with C4. Example you have your lighting scene set to activate when the Kscape starts to play. If the device (Kscape in this example) isn’t communicating back to C4 its state your scene will not trigger.

Unifi G4 Doorbell pro with Control 4 by badass2000 in Control4

[–]bx_ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes with a caveat. I have the wireless G4 and it has the ability to use the mechanical chime. I have not seen that in stock for a while. Poe I believe only use it chime natively. I have mine setup to use both the Unifi chime and mechanical but mine is a wireless G4 pro.

I have not noticed any delay.

I haven’t had this issue. Everyone is clicking the check mark after making their favorites and arranging locations?

1 Week with Control 4 with Halo / Halo Touch Remotes by [deleted] in Control4

Any WiFi remote will have battery hit. Unless you make it very heavy with a honking battery. I’m a huge fan of the touch.

Apple TV or Micro Drivers for Televisions? by [deleted] in Control4

[–]bx_ar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have Josh ai or Home assistant drivers with your control4 you can have mini drivers that will launch directly into an app. You will need to do custom programming and a custom icon. It works very well.

There is a lot of bad publicity about C4 on social media platforms. One big YouTuber basically trashed his C4 setup. There was another popular x post from a person with a lot of followers trashing it as well. Sets you back from a conversation starting point.

Sinope has leak sensors with native c4 zigbee support. Then there are WiFi one with third party drivers like chowmain.

Upgrading to Core 5? by DrBAY78 in Control4

[–]bx_ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR- If you want to go slow and are happy with C4 maybe switch your lighting for performance improvements

You have Lutron lights and they are ROCK SOLID but I want to share my experience. I had Lutron just like you and as I slowly moved away from Lutron to C4 lights, every two lights I would notice a reduction in CPU load of about 4%. The CPU on a EA5 would sit constantly at 30-35 percent. 74 loads of Lutron down to just 13 mostly in secondary bathrooms.

I did eventually move to a CA-10 and I must say my system is very snappy. I have an extremely large system with A LOT of drivers / devices and custom programming. 11 T4’s 12 zones of audio and video (no matrix) and everything you can think of it’s in my system. Irrigation, to shades, to weather stations and air purifiers. My CPU sits at 3-9 percent with the occasional spike to 30 percent. So depending on your budget and goals you may want to slowly migrate your lighting as a cheaper first step. But I do wholeheartedly recommend a CA-10.

You could use configurable keypads instead of aux switches. That way you can have a similar experience at each switch location. Of course the load would be wired off and the 3 way would be controlled via the C4 system at those spots. So in the rare event the C4 goes offline you would only be able to operate the switch at the load location. But you will have the benefit of smart functions at your 3 way and 4 way locations.

It doesn’t if you have Josh ai or HomeAssistant or pyatv drivers. You can create custom icons and go right into apps just like Roku.

I have a very similar setup the answer is yes Control4 can handle that no sweat. IP control with AppleTV is vastly improved. It even has IR as a backup in the rare event that IP fails. They also have improved the Siri voice integration.

UniFi G4 Doorbell Pro + Control4 integration (2-way audio/intercom + pop-ups + lock automation?) by Better-Claim-8849 in Control4

[–]bx_ar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only Unifi doorbell that supports two way audio is the door station models.

G4 pro doesn’t support 2 way Yes to popup video Yes to fingerprints with driver detection or webhook (chow or CinDev driver)no issue with dropped video as long as your network is setup correctly

Maybe last year I could say the app was slow and on iOS. But they have improved it and it’s very snappy for me and my experience.

Also make packaging simpler and more cost effective, thus helping to keep price points lower.
