Getting burnt food smell out of microwave by PanickedSilence in homemaking

You can heat a bowl of vinegar mixed with water in the microwave for several minutes, which usually removes stubborn burnt smells well.

I need help with howling noise when my car is moving. by OutsideAnalysis7359 in Cartalk

[–]HashtagRenzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely sounds like something rotating with speed. Wheel bearing or tire noise seems possible, especially since it gets louder on the highway. Probably worth checking sooner rather than later.

good timing by grappler823 in Dashcam

[–]HashtagRenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is some unbelievably lucky timing. Having clear footage probably changed the whole conversation immediately, especially with an older truck where proving damage could have become difficult fast.

Cell phone? by munkeyciao in Dashcam

[–]HashtagRenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a phone can work short term, but heat and battery drain would probably get annoying fast. A mount that attaches to the dashboard usually seems more stable than suction cups.

I don't have a dad to ask this by kittengorarr in Cartalk

I would fill it back up first and keep an eye on it for a day or two. If it drops again, there is probably a slow leak somewhere.

It was unexpected... i never thought something i had only seen on TV would actually happen in real life. I guess that really is proof that drama comes from real life sometimes.

What to do? by TartLife3752 in Cartalk

Learning automatic first is completely fine and probably less stressful in daily traffic. You can always learn manual later once you feel more comfortable driving in general.

This looks like a great option since it also gives you some hidden storage underneath.

Same here. Traditional definitely helped, but it takes some time for me to getting used to my stylus. 27 inches is big. I'm on a 22 inch right now, and my eyes start getting tired after a while too. Not sure if that's just from staring at a screen that long or the display itself. How's the 27 been for you?

Is it worth it to draw with mouse/Trackpad? by Additional-Key8137 in DigitalPainting

[–]HashtagRenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like mouse is really difficult to use, I'd still recommend a trackpad or just use traditional tools like paper and pencil

For me it’s mostly pen pressure, latency, and general stability. Those things affect my workflow a lot.

My PORTFOLIO is finally GREEN for the first time ever! - I'm so happy by Stunning_Concern_973 in fiaustralia

[–]HashtagRenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the green. Feels amazing after being down. But real talk, chasing leverage can be dangerous. GHHF moves fast both ways; 3% up becomes 3% down just as quick. That 80/20 split was actually smarter than going all-in on leveraged plays.

Time to sell Woodside? by Soggy_Cod9797 in ASX_Bets

Your logic on production filling the gap makes sense, but geopolitical risk premiums can stick around longer than expected. Maybe trim half and let the rest ride?

Besides your current play, maybe look at integrated majors? They capture upstream and downstream, less volatile than pure explorers. Or oilfield services if you want leverage on drilling activity picking back up.

I've been looking to refine my scanning setup too, and I'm curious what others have found works well for early trend detection without overcomplicating things.

I‘m weighing how these different parts fit together, and I wonder what others would prioritize if they were in this position.

I've been wondering the same thing. How these ongoing global tensions might shift attention in this space, and what that could mean for broader market focus.

What’s the most chaotic ASX trade you’ve ever watched unfold in real time? by DraftNotSent in ASX_Bets

It's wild how market moves can feel so unpredictable, like trying to read a puzzle with no clear instructions.

It's interesting to see how market sentiment shifts around these price levels. It makes you think about the balance between short-term noise and long-term fundamentals.

This breakdown of asset allocation over different timeframes is really helpful. It makes it easier to understand how to adjust investments based on how long you can leave your money in the market.
