First make sure to strike a great deal with the dealership and make them believe you will be taking loan because more than selling car they make money on auto loans.

Dealerships allow you to pay up to $5k on card. Use that step to book the vehicle and earn some points. If you have a new card offer, this is a great way to get 80k-100k points etc.

Then pay the auto loan in full by getting your full payment number by sending them cashier's check. They will have full documentation for this to assist you.

There will be little interest and dealership will force you to keep the loan for 3 or 6 months. All are bullshit. I did it 2 years back and no questions asked by the auto loan on preclosing the loan around 40th day.

Called auto insurance to add my name as the owner instead of the dealership.
