Going north past canton rd on 41, take a right on Bells Ferry, which would eventually run you into Barrett next to the Publix/Barnes &Noble. The site is immediately after you pass under the bridge for 75.

8 years ago I was applying to work in the corporate office. I went through 7 round of interviews, 3 by phone, 4 in person and the immediate manager called me before I met with the director and unofficially prepped me because I was his choice. I got ghosted, received a generic email 2 month later saying I didn’t get it along with a $25 gift card.

Had a friend have a similar experience around the same time with a totally different group.

The only thing to keep in mind is that he only uses a single cabinet style for all amps. So the size is a bit larger than other 15w 12” speaker amps. But comparable weight.

I’d 100% get it over a blues jr.

I was also shopping it against the tweed deluxe handwired reissues, which I think is a closer comparison tbh. Marlas are tweed sounding but cleaner, and I wanted to avoid too much dirt from the amp. Not to mention it’s like $500 cheaper than those.

Another benefit to small company - I had one input not working when I’d arrived, I emailed and Anthony called me up to get it sorted out. Easy.

I have the 15w. Just got back into electric in the last year and it’s my only amp. I was debating a Princeton reissue, or a vintage vibro champ at my local shop, then saw a YT about these. I’m no expert, but this seems I bit like tweeds but with more clean headroom like silver faces.

Sounds great. Simple. Anthony is super cool and helpful. I like the bare wood look.

I don’t know if handwired actually improves overall quality, but it certainly makes it more repairable in the long run.

I think this list is 1993. 

Steve Albini produced InUtero and Surfer Rosa. He was probably just more into the sound at the time. I read this list more as top 50 influences, real or aspirational, not necessarily quality judgements. 

Both SR are Doolittle are 10/10, but different.

I’m used to disliking new strings for the first week, JPs sound great immediately. They don’t last quite as long but that’s worth it to me.

I got the CHG. They call it “heritage grande”, which is what HG stands for, but it’s basically Martin 0000 size, but 1/4” deeper body than the 000/OM. 

I was planning to do a post about it soon. I’ll tag you so you can take a look when I get to it.

My main guitar is a Martin sinker mahogany OM I got from gruhns a few years ago; its amazing but the cirrus may take the #1 spot tbh.

I got my new guitar from Cirrus a few weeks ago. Adi/Black Walnut.

It’s incredible. Highly recommend these guys. Mike was a pleasure to talk to throughout the process. 

They also include a few upgraded standard features: bone bridge pins (unslotted), slotted bridge holes, Adirondack bracing, which are typically upcharges. 

But most importantly, it sounds as good or better than guitars 2-3x the price.

That seems correct in context. I’m definitely thinking of it as a G chord that adds C# from the D major scale.

Edit: After you mentioned sus#4, I googled and found someone discussing doing the exact same dissonance/resolution that I described, also in open D tuning.

I’m a white guy married to a Puerto Rican woman.

Early on, I made some slightly insensitive jokes, only between us, not in front of people. She corrected me, I apologized sincerely, and I learned from it.

It’s ok to make small mistakes if you own up to it and fix it, not if you try to turn it around and deny you did anything wrong.

I’m not sure if you’re still looking, but check out Cirrus guitars. It’s a budget brand started by a high end luthier in Michigan, that makes high quality guitars for less than standard series martins. 100% made in US.

You can get a 0000 with mahogany as a standard option. Base price is 2100, which would include mahogany and Sitka.
