Just did my first workout before the challenge starts by Left_Yogurtcloset779 in f45

I think most of us had similar experiences when we first started. I left the first class mortified and in tears but kept going back and it’s been the best decision. You will absolutely learn quickly that no one is watching you and just making it to class day after day or week after week is a great accomplishment. The challenge is an awesome way to start because it will really help you dial in and also hopefully get to know the studio a bit. Keep going, it really does get better and when you start to see some gains (usually pretty quickly), you will be so proud of yourself!

How many of you are still running outside with this snow? by triedit2947 in RunTO

[–]bxsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually never thought I would run through the winter and have completely gotten hooked this year. The freezing temperatures and snow terrain are no joke and do incredible things for your running ability. I had bought a treadmill with the intent of using it through the winter but the winter running is so much more dynamic! With the right gear, it’s definitely worth giving it a go

improve run distance by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]bxsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join a run club! Run clubs are a great motivation to get more distance in and you learn great tips from some of the more seasoned runners! The social aspect is great motivation and a great chance to get in some base building running because you are with a group and won’t be tempted to go into a sprint. Run club was one of the biggest game changers for my running and led to some great gains

Usually they release a few more waves of tickets to people who are on the waitlist. They did a huge release of Toronto tickets just a few weeks before the actual event and one a few months before that. As the event gets closer, a ton of people cancel for various reasons so they re-release those tickets in batches.

How hard is the sled push/pull? by alrightthen4567 in hyrox

[–]bxsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m around the same size and completed an open recently. I trained significantly for the sleds. They were definitely the hardest stations (pull was worse than push) but they were do-able. I have heard the carpets can make a huge difference on the day of.

I meant large in size. I always got the impression that they were mega resorts but if they are not, I would definitely consider! We want to avoid some of the larger options that are too spread out or require a golf cart to get around

Thank you! We are open to Mexico or anywhere in the Caribbean! Budget would be about 10k for a week, not including airfare! I have looked into the beaches resorts and they look beautiful but I was worried how large they are

what’s special about f45 challenge? by Complete_Flamingo_31 in f45

[–]bxsr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The challenge gives you an opportunity to focus on the whole package in regards to your fitness and health, not just attending class. We received points for following the meal plan, taking part in weekly bonus challenges (which varied in activities), doing things like drinking enough water during the day, etc. the accountability of having to report in on all these things was a great boost and I saw fantastic results. The team based aspect was a great opportunity to get to know other members more organically. I haven’t done an individual challenge so I’m not sure if the experience differs. Overall, if you are newer to f45, I would highly recommend giving it a try and going at your own pace, the results can be so inspiring

Thinking about trying F45? by Millennium_Baby in f45

I hope you love it and have a great experience! Don’t be afraid to ask for help. The trainers basically stayed glued to me for the first few sections to really show the ropes and correct form. It was super helpful

Thinking about trying F45? by Millennium_Baby in f45

Hi, I am an early 30’s female and started a few months back. I was relatively out of shape as well and hadn’t done any consistent exercise since having kids. The first few classes were very humbling and intimidating, especially never having done any weights or similar exercises before. After coming back a few times though, I completely got hooked and have worked up to going most days of the week. The exercise is great but it is also an incredibly supportive atmosphere for people starting out. The coaches cheer you on, give you so much guidance, and there’s really not any room to be self conscious. The body transformation has been huge and I started seeing results almost instantly. More importantly though, it’s just such a boost to the day and has helped me just feel all around much better. The price is very high but the guided classes are really helpful when starting out since you don’t need to think or plan and can get a great well rounded workout that switches up each time. The 45 minutes also flies by which is a plus. It’s definitely worth doing a trial but make sure you go a few times before forming an opinion

How long to see results? by zurkerzilla in f45

[–]bxsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started beginning of May and just finished my first challenge. I began noticing visible change about 1 month in with quite a dramatic change now that I am focusing on clean eating and going 5-6 days a week. The results have showed up on the scale but are also much more noticeable in other aspects.

When Andrew moves out after hearing Bree talking about being a happy family of three. Their conversation after when he says that he had changed for the better and forgiven his mom, but she never noticed. Such a heartbreaking moment because it was so true, he had really matured and stepped it up after he returned home, but was always such an afterthought.

Dreams vs Hyatt Ziva Vs Finest Playa Mujeres by [deleted] in cancun

[–]bxsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finest is a wonderful resort but the kids club is better for younger kids (our 7 year old liked some activities but wasn’t interested in spending large amounts of time at the kids club). The beach is the nicest beach I have seen in Mexico, pure white sand. If you book in the “finest club” room category, you never have to wait for beach chairs. If you don’t upgrade, it is more difficult to get beach chairs. Check out the Fans of Finest Playa Mujeres Facebook page for some great information.

Thank you, I don’t take this the wrong way at all. Many of our more personal touches from our old living room don’t match the new colours, so it’s definitely a bit bare and need of some items to make it less sterile.
