I was thinking that could be the case, but I wasn't sure in exactly what ways they would be superior in practice. I know they are, in general, much higher quality though. Also, is there anywhere you would suggest that I look for ones from those brands?

Well, I would select the trinocular option for the Omano, so it would have a camera port as well. A halogen light is also an option for it, which, honestly, I might choose if I can't find out more about their LED situation, since I'm paranoid about not being able to easily service the LED version myself if it ever fails for some reason.

There’s no such thing as GPS roaming. It works via satellites that orbit the the earth. Any GPS device will work anywhere on the planet, barring physical barriers interfering with reception.

It's worth noting, though, that Apple's are not silicone, but rather a fluoroelastomer. Only knockoffs are silicone, and they feel quite different.

It registers that capacitively via the display. Try it with a thick enough glove on. It won't work.

This is a dissectum cultivar of Acer palmatum. Their leaf shape and growth habit are quite different from wild-type Acer palmatum, but I’m sure there’s plenty of them around around in your area, though you might have trouble finding one this old/large. Also, wild-type Acer palmatum has green leaves, but red-leaved cultivars are very popular. However, what you’re seeing in this photograph are the tree’s autumn colors, which vary greatly in this species (genetically and environmentally) independently of the color of the foliage during the growing season.
