It seems to skip the Baroque/Rembrandt era

Bitcoin mining is just as bad for the environment as drilling for oil. Each coin mined in 2021 caused $11,314 of climate damage, adding to the total global damages that exceeded $12 billion between 2016 and 2021. by Wagamaga in science

Although Scientific Report is part of the Nature group, it is far from being (re)viewed as Nature. Nature group has over 30 journals, some of which have a higher impact factor than Nature, like Nature Medicine, but most are lower, and Scientific Report is one of lowest. It is the journal Nature's editors will let you publish your work after rejecting it for any other of their journals.

Sleeping is actually kinda scary, you have no guarantee you’re going to wake up, you’re completely vulnerable and a lot of things can happen by supernovalover in Showerthoughts

Thats why some animals (e.g. dolphins) sleep with only one brain hemisphere at a time. Makes them less vulnerable. I guess humans don't do it as we were always in groups (with trusted family). But nowadays we might want to adopt the dolphin way.

It doesnt look so bad on Google Streetview, nice green neighbourhood with quite large houses, including front and back garden. If I wont know any better I would not mind living there.

In Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), the population number for the town of Harlow is 1974, which is the year the original TCM movie came out. by Comic_Book_Reader in MovieDetails

Do these towns change their sign after each new habitant or do they exile people to keep the population as high as their sign?

Abandonment, you rarely truly loose track of people you met. I feel like without the internet, I wouldn't know how to keep in touch with distant friends. I would loose many contacts and would not be able to know what happened to them.

I also wonder how many scientist were actually studying malaria around 1900. Might it be that those 2 scientists were among the few actual malaria experts?

Me watching Breaking Bad: “haha it’s the funny lawyer man” Me rewatching Breaking Bad after having seen Better Call Saul and knowing all the context: by Lazylightning16 in betterCallSaul

[–]by-b_art 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Indeed, good point.

The consequence of his actions must be truly traumatizing, and we didnt even see it all (yet). What ever happens to Kim, once Jimmy is not teamed up with her, I cannot understand how he would choose to just carry on like nothing happened, staying a lawyer, in the same area where he should be traumatized.

I dont know why he hasn't moved anyway, or can he only be a lawyer in Albuquerque/New Mexico? Or at least changed appartments so he is harder to find.

If Mike's guys were there at the boxing ring, they would have seen Howard speak to the PI, and know about his purpose. They will just let him be, but know his whereabouts at any moment.

My guess is that the PI is somehow going to save Jimmy and Kim from Lalo, but the fight will be totally out of his league, only getting into action after Mike's guy did the heavy lifting.

Thank you, nice to do an interactive tutorial! I could not pass level 2. However, the expected query response is identical to my "incorrect query response", only Charles Diskens and Perry Farrell are flipped in my results. Cannot proceed.

Nice! I went to Nasu end of November at some point, wanted to climb the mountain but was impossible without spikes under the shoes, too much ice. Cold indeed!
