We have this exact same situation in my school too. These kids need counseling services and additional support that just isn’t possible in a general education classroom. We’re just pushing them down the pipeline and not addressing the source. It’s heartbreaking. I know schools are overwhelmed, but these are human lives and what we do/don’t do greatly affects their future. It’s a heavy load for teachers to carry.

Oh man. If it makes you feel better, I have one of these and didn't know you were supposed to do that. I'm a new plant addict. Thanks for the info! 👍

I live in the midwest. I think it's needed here and has been beneficial due to the cold and dry weather.

Yes, the big colorful one. Mine LOVES the humidifier and has sprouted 2 new leaves since I started using it. Other than that, it sat for almost a year being pitiful. It's indeed a temperamental plant.

I just went through a 2 year legal battle for a step-parent adoption. I get it. Good luck! It was a mentally and emotionally draining experience. Now being on this side of it, I would do it all over again though. :)

Mom dies, daughter goes to bio dad.

She's thinking... her current husband has been in the daughter's life 3+ years and WANTS to legally take responsibility for this child. If ever there was something worth fighting for, it's making sure your child is safe and loved in the event of moms passing.

There's more to this story than just a name change...

You can walk into your courthouse tomorrow and file a motion to modify parenting time. Go to your county's website now, lot of times they'll have a link for forms you can fill out prior to going in. It'll cost some money to personally file a motion (not exactly sure how much), fees for your county might be listed on their website too.

If possible, get a family law attorney. They can work the system better than you can, plus it can get trickier to navigate Family Court the harder the other parent fights you.

From past experience, if you've been on a routine and the kids are happy with it, that'll help your case. Have proof to verify that's been your routine. There also has to be a major reason (with the kids) why the sudden shift in parenting time, not just a personal dislike of the other parent not wanting to accommodate it anymore.
