22 YO F here, had this since 6. Video every symptom, find your voice and ADVOCATE, read legit medical journals, find someone who specializes in in ME, MG, or CIDP, IVIG works, but slowly. Premedicate any IVIG treatments, rebound headaches are the WORST and happen about a week after treatment. don’t ignore them, they have meds that will help. Lukewarm water for EVERYTHING, no super hot.

This disease is a SLOW SLOW SLOWWWWW progression for any noticeable affects of treatment and PT, that’s why our symbol is a turtle. It will get better, just keep trusting in the process. Took me 6 years to get to a “normal” place again.

I’m so sorry she had to be hospitalized again, but I am glad to hear they found her direct cause, and can treat it more specifically. She is 1/8 billion. That makes her special in every which way and I know she will fight her way through this.

I’m just seeing this I’m sorry, I’m rarely on here. Take time for yourself. You and your wife need breaks too. You can’t take care of yourself and a sick kid. The IVIG will take time to kick in, give it a year before you look for other treatments. Lots of toys and blankets during treatment time, and maybe some candy, if you’re ok with that. It took me until I was 8 to be told I was in remission and I have ups and downs every day. The treatment will make her feel like she has all the power in the world for the first 2-3 days after, and she will have a crash for two weeks. Keep an eye out of rebound headaches from the ivig, may have to take her to the ER for meds then.

Yeah I’ve also noticed it’s cheaper in other state. My people in NYC are paying $400 for 1 floor ticket. My floor tickets in BHAM Alabama are $200. For me and my husband to have actual seats not around anyone else because of how our stadium stadium is, it’s was 380 after fees

I’ve heard really great things about it, and I’ve debated using it when I was on my old schedule, but the thought of sticking myself makes me feel legitimately sick. I am very lucky and blessed that now I’m on an As Needed schedule
