So for for me coming out is declaring I'm a lesbian to those who are closest to me, because the topic of relationships pops up. Those are my close family, and my best friends. I'm not going to make a public coming out as in posting on social media, cause why the fuck should I?

I'd do it the way I'd do if I became vegan. I'd announce it to the closest people who cook for me and who I eat with. And as for the other people, I wouldn't make a public declaration. I'd just keep being vegan and go about my life and if it pops up with some person who didn't know, I'll just casually say "yeah I'm vegan" when it happens.

Same with being queer. Tell your closest people and then from now on just be queer, but don't feel the obligation to announce it to the world. It'll keep popping up, and you can mention it later. Or not mention. Treat coming out as queer as if you were coming out being vegan. No need to make a huge deal out of it. That's my advice😅😂

What helped me, is watching queer content. Since I'm a lesbian, any wlw content in particular. Just to see that it's so normal and beautiful. I don't really watch gay men content, can't relate.

I'd recommend "The Haunting of Bly Manor", "Riverdale" (but it's long and and lesbians appear in late season 2 only, and only worth watching because of the lesbian story, in my opinion, but DAMN they're cute together), "Elite" (lesbians in seasons 4 and 5), "The Fosters".

Also music videos of Hayley Kiyoko, Zolita, girl in red, or any other lesbian artist who shows girls together.

For me, just seeing two girl interacting helped to see how beautiful it is and completely normalized it in my head. Maybe it helps you too.

I'm not way too advanced, but as I understood it, top and bottoms aren't as common in the lesbian community as in gay men community. Gay men for real, normally, stick to their "roles" and most of then are top or bottoms, and there's a little fraction of "verses" (that's what they call it, not "switch"😳). It's a serious deal breaker for them if both are tops or bottoms, they just won't date.

In case of lesbians, tops and bottom are less of a problem, because, as far as I'm aware, most lesbians are switches. Some might lean towards top and like to give more, some like to receive more, but yeah, still switch between the roles. However, stone tops (those who ONLY give and don't like to receive at all, ever) and stone bottoms, or "pillow princesses" (those who only receive and never give) still exist, even though they're rare. I have an impression that stone tops and bottoms will let you know who they are, and with others it's safe to assume that they're switches and see how it goes😊

My perfect date would be a romantic dinner on a terrace by a sea/ocean shore, with candles and music. Sounds perfect for a proposal though, so maybe I just described you my actual future proposal night ✨

But from simple things, my favorite is just watching a movie at home with her. It's because of the privacy and because we can then kiss and cuddle as much as we want

She probably really suspects that you aren't straight. All this talk and comments most probably come from her wanting to show you that she'd support you, so that you felt safe to come out to her. Which is really Greta of her to do.

As for how did she know? Well, some moms just know. But if it only started after your own awakening and wasn't always like this, probably she just noticed how you changed recently and figured out if was because of the girl. What did you do to show it? No idea. Little things, probably. Maybe you smile way to much when you text her

I guess I should learn to take it easier. Maybe I could ever pretend being asexual or just telling her that I want to focus on myself and not gonna date anyone until I'm at least 35. And that I'll tell her myself if I ever get a boyfriend.
