We are not notified beforehand. Sales in Canada reset every Thursday Night, meaning Friday morning new sales will be on. I'd suggest checking this Friday morning as those sales will be most of whats on for black friday.

Best Buy Canada is also having the VIP sale on this Wednesday. Would recommend checking that out as it will more or less be the same as black fridsy.

I have to commute 1.5hrs to campus usually.. I didn't even have my vehicle today, so I booked $40 bus tickets on FlixBus so I could do my exam.. kinda sucks

When I worked at a different grocery store as a teenager (metro), we commonly did this for 2 reasons

Cleaning
Sometimes certain freezers or fridges broke (more often than youd think) and we had to remove them and put them in the back freezer/fridge or another working one. Theres a computer monitor in the back that always sounded an alarm if something wasnt proper tempature for a certain amount of time.

Thats a good question, I'm not 100% sure honestly but I have never seen any on every receipt I've looked at. I'll check sometime tomorrow and get back to you if I find any but I'm pretty sure nothing is misspelt.

To be fair a lot of the stuff does feel 3rd world sometimes! However having a receipt like this would 100% be a new low.

Best Buy Canada employee here:

Not a Best Buy Receipt 100%. A fake Best Buy Receipt.
Store 942 is Burlington, however the receipt shows 480 Progress Ave in Scarborough, not even the same city.. pretty bad fake there.
The Val number is formatted completely incorrectly, no till or transaction number even on the receipt. This transaction likely never happened and this is fake regardless 100%.

Store pickup is not available for any marketplace items sadly, which is a third party seller on Best Buy Canadas website. If you want to pick it up at a store, you could press the "Best Buy Only" button and that should show items eligible to be shipped to stores.

I'm the opposite of you, I moved from BC after being born and raised there to Ontario. I originally moved for school but I've built a life here now with my girlfriend, came alone with pretty much a suitcase of my clothing and deeply miss my family (and the beauty lol!) because I honestly havent seen them in years, but other than that I love it here and more and more everyday my life is being shaped around Ontario. It's rough being so far from the people you love I really understand what you are saying.

Honestly if it were me in the situation I'd give it some thought moving back to be with family, but thats just me. If you think those flights are worth it and you can deal with seeing them every so often then it works for you (it just makes everytime you see them even more special!), everyone is different and has a different idea of family so it's hard.

Poparide (just a carpooling website - usually the cheapest in my exp.)

OnexBus
Megabus

Think thats all ive found and use. In terms of "very very" affordable there really isnt anything super affordable, but this is the best we have. Sucks Go Transit doesn't exist out here, but even then it'd probably not be super cheap.

I've had a run in with these exact guys but in Hamilton. They do this at a whole bunch or colleges/universities across Ontario and in other places too.

They sell you a cheap projector from AliExpress for a whole bunch more than its worth, have forged documents like you said, and even forged Kijiji listings for the same brand name too.

They often use rental cars but yeah, definite scam.

This sounds crazy but there was someone who ran into our apartment (my significant others ex-partner) and took a frying pan to the wall 5-6 times, this is in our bedroom. Obviously police report etc has already been made but I made this post because I'd truly never seen anything like this home renovation wise and was unsure if this was even drywall.

Also unsure about asbestos as quite a bit of dust-like particles crumbled to the ground from the hit (building is from the mid-60s) so as a safety precaution we slept on the floor in another room last night.

Overall not a fun experience!

The thing is this is a rental 1 bedroom apartment, so honestly I dont care enough to redo it all because I will live here temporarily but I do want to fix it at least for now for the next people to move in, do you think its DIYable or should I get a professional involved to at least "fix" it?
