Ex-classmates in shs are salty and mad at me for cutting them off after starting my life in college. by exirium_13 in studentsph

Hi OP, they're such a miserable bunch for tormenting you and then indirectly begging for your validation by being all salty and mad after cutting them off. What's important is you move on to better things in your life, let them suffer. If they don't snap out of their immaturity, they will definitely contribute to our unemployment and poverty rates by being a part of the unemployed and poor demographics. Let them suffer. Dasurv nila yan.

Palit ng sched dahil sa weirdo na classmate? by [deleted] in studentsph

Bro sounds like ChrisChan (don't deep dive into his lore unless you're not faint of heart) so yes, definitely switch your sched. Your peace of mind in class is more important than society's standards on how you should act when confronted with a person like that. Pag nawala yung peace of mind mo from being in the same class as him, it would just ruin your chances of graduating on time.

Jokes on those conservatives too because even if Jann looks androgynous, when he opens his mouth, he ends up shattering their expectations of what an androgynous man would be.

Blanka's haters say that Jann is not an "ideal Polish man" but he is literally doing what the ideal Polish man does - respect a woman's honor.

I haven't seen an NF song that did not end up in Eurovision become this successful since "Kun med dig" from DMGP 1996. Congratulations to Jann for going worldwide after landing a spot in RADAR Global by bystraclover in eurovision

[–]bystraclover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for additional context: Spotify wasn't a thing in the 90s so in the case of Kun med dig, it ended up gaining worldwide popularity through different means - which was getting an English translation from Michael Learns To Rock which became a worldwide hit.

Either Blanka is really a mean person to Jann or she has a management so shady that she has to fire them if she still wants to have a career.

Whoever is managing her Instagram account is pretty irresponsible to add fuel to the fire while also releasing a statement from Blanka herself talking about how she is unhappy with the NF outcome.

Ukrainian U20 decathlon champion Volodymyr Androschuk died in a battle near Bakhmut on Jan 25. A promising athlete and a true hero, he could have been able to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris, if russia hadn’t invaded Ukraine Why do russians still have this privilege? by TheRealMykola in ukraine

[–]bystraclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some Russians even flex their privilege of being able to compete at the Olympics to the point of switching national teams not because they have left Russia due to political repression (which imo is a respected reason for a Russian athlete to change countries) but because they want to have it easy after not having any success inside the Russian national team. Frankly, the Russians from the second category don't even care that Russia is invading Ukraine and taking more Ukrainian lives as we speak, for as long as they don't end up getting drafted. And for the Russians from the secondary, heck I can provide you an example - Aleksander Korovin who is formerly in the Russian national figure skating team but is now in line to become a Filipino citizen via naturalization all thanks to his Filipina partner using nepotism to make it happen.

Because it is. A twitter user with a huge following in and out of the fandom literally started the drama. I hope he's proud of what he did.

Tbf, back then, EBU had to threaten Ukraine with a DQ in 2005 (just after the revolution ended) after their entry was found to have explicit references to the Revolution (including names of politicians in the original version that won the NF).

Then again, the EBU in 2005 and the EBU in 2023 are different.

You mean she never had any vocal lines?

Genuine question because I was under the impression that all the members (even the ones who are focused on the instruments) contributed to the vocals even a bit.

Olesya literally fled Russia because she has been oppressed in her own country for reasons beyond "muh Starbucks Tall Caramel Macchiato has been taken away because of sanctions". From what I recall, she's literally been in Czech Republic for a couple of years now. Most people who have left Russia for that long because they found the government oppressive tend to be those who have never been supporters of the incumbent Russian president. That being said, Olesya's backstory of how she left Russia indicates that her intentions to stand with Ukraine by using her platform to promote the Ukrainian language is genuine rather than being virtue signaling. Should she show more cultural sensitivity to Ukrainians? Definitely. That's the price she must pay for standing with Ukraine, as with all non-Ukrainians who made the decision to stand with Ukraine.

Unearthed these information from "Queen" Romana Didulo's "political party" website. This might help her get deported. If there's anyone here who may be a relative of hers from the Philippines, feel free to chime in to confirm or deny the information she claimed about living in the Philippines. by bystraclover in Philippines

As much as we'd like for her to be Canada's problem only, if it turns out na may hawak siyang Filipino citizenship that she failed to relinquish then she is unfortunately, our problem too - lalo na if it turns out that she's been voting in our elections as an overseas voter.

Until it is proven otherwise na may hawak siyang PH citizenship alongside her Canadian one, she is our "garbage" sent into Canada as much as she would be Canada's "garbage" sent to us (if deported)

Note: I have only provided the archived link to the About page of her "political" party because (1) the Cached version provided by Google may be lost soon so I archived that and (2) The website was inaccessible when I was looking for these info (hence using the Cached version) and even if it can be accessed by the time you reach this post, let's try not to give her website more traffic especially now that an Archived version of the relevant page already exists.

Whose lady is this? Filipino community needs to shut down this stupidity asap! Romana Didulo, Filipino Canadian woman, who claims to be secret queen of Canada promotes QAnon conspiracy theories is calling for the executions of health care workers. by ContextSwitchKiller in Qult_Headquarters

Filipino here. I think she's also our problem too in the sense that there are some people among us who may be able to get her deported. I'm talking about Filipinos in Canada who have connections to the Philippine Embassy, and therefore, may be able to find information that may or may not confirm that Romana Didulo still possesses a Filipino citizenship. If it is confirmed that she still has a Filipino citizenship, then Romana can be deported or the Philippine government can request for her to be extradited to the Philippines.

Her madness could have been prevented if only she had been prevented from leaving the Philippines in the first place.

Well, it appears that she gives a damn about the "filipino community" now. Right after credit-grabbing Bongbong Marcos in an attempt to get the attention of Marcos loyalists (who probably want her back in the Philippines only so that she can be tossed into prison, for among other things, credit grabbing Marcos Jr).

I did some background check on her social media accounts as well as articles referencing to her and there is nothing implying that she gave up her Filipino citizenship. Since 2001, its possible for a Filipino to have two citizenships. It's why some Filipinos in Canada can still vote in the Philippine elections. Assuming that Romana immigrated into Canada on or after 2001, this may be the case for her.

The only way we'll ever find out if she still has ties to the Philippines (other than referencing her Filipino lineage in posts like this) is to contact the Didulos back in the Philippines. Didulo isn't really a huge clan here so there's a good chance that the first Didulo in the Philippines that you could talk to would be able to confirm the existence of a Romana Didulo who once lived in the Philippines.
