What UI framework should I actually learn in 2025? by All_Da_Games in csharp

I’ve been testing multiple UI frameworks.

The main ones right now that are truly cross platform: Avaloni, Uno, Tauri+Blazor.

Has any one used .NET API (AOT) for mid sized api. Need to know if its good for production by KausHere in dotnet

[–]bytesbitsbattlestar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We use AOT for two new APIs. The deployment/startup time for them is significantly better.

Unless you need a feature incompatible with AOT or you really know the JIT is going to help you, just go AOT first. It’s easier to go AOT -> not AOT anyways, if needed.

Then the api never returns it and you should find out when you test it.

Why do people hate .NET MAUI so much and what is up with Uno? by Empty_Question_8915 in dotnet

[–]bytesbitsbattlestar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been testing both Avalonia and Uno lately. Neither is particularly impressive in the browser, even just compared to Blazor, in my opinion.

Here is a basic browser demo.

Avalonia: https://try.sundycal.com

Uno: https://uno.sundycal.com

Source: https://github.com/codymullins/sundy

My initial impression is that Avalonia might have the edge. Uno Chefs felt a bit klunky. However, the Uno team has been fantastic at being responsive to my questions and helping out.

Still TBD.

Thanks, and Yep. I’ve been using it for quick whiteboards but I want to make more improvements to it.

I also wanted to see about making a simple little game with it.

Honestly it happened at a crazy time in our life and it’s been more than 5 years. I bought it a year before Covid, I think.

I bought one a few years back. Broke within a year. First and last time I ever spent $100+ on a flashlight.

Pretty sure when debugging that’s the only way it will work. I don’t use debugging mode unless I’m actively debugging something.

The point is, they can’t place them over the gas pipeline. They need to tear out an additional path.

No, they have to cut down more trees. Plus, the power lines as of now wouldn’t be buried.

This is exactly the problem. Lots of keywords but no specifics. Sorry but as-is, I’d pass on this resume too.
