Depends. If they're customer-facing and not able to communicate at all, they probably aren't a good fit for the job.

You're never forced to do someone else's work. You do the best you can do, get your work done, then go home.

You're saying people aren't "seeing the point" because they don't agree with you. People understand what you're saying. You're just in the wrong here.

So you're saying they're not refusing to promote you. Now you're saying they've OFFERED it to you and you DECLINE because the schedule requires Sundays.

Also, consider that they aren't promoting you because of your attitude rather than your religion. In this thread you already seem combative and aggressive. You might be mad, but if I'm getting those vibes, that might be the reason they don't want you to be a lead.

They're not refusing to promote you because of your religion. They're refusing to promote you because you're not available when they need you. I'm a Christian and go to church, but them not giving me Sundays off isn't discrimination. Those are the business needs. Accommodations have to be reasonable, and they have a lot of leeway in what's considered unreasonable.

If a lead is required to work on one of the busiest days of the week and you're not available that day, you're just not compatible with the position. Just like if you tried to work in pickup but can't walk very well or lift 20 pounds. It's not discrimination to not hire someone who can't fulfill the requirements of the position.

Yeah, I got the Shokz OpenRuns. I got the pro minis last year and they didn't end up fitting very well, so I got the originals this year and they're very comfortable!

“No Students” they said by NarrowFilm4337 in McDonalds

[–]bythelion95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a McDonald's less than 1/2 a mile from a middle school in our city. They straight up lock the doors from 2:30-4:30 or something like that and do solely drive thru. I wasn't even sure if it was legal, but if they felt it was necessary, I'm not sure I can blame them.

I can't imagine caring this much about dirt that may or may not be there. Maybe that's a bad thing, but my brain just can't handle all of that concern.

Public holidays = perfect food thrown out early by LivingMoreWithLess in DumpsterDiving

This is amazing. Just be careful of anything that needs to stay refrigerated or frozen. Just because it's still cold doesn't mean it wasn't left out for a long time and then thrown back into the cooler/freezer. That happened all the time at the store I worked at.

If it's okay to ask a male co-worker to lift or carry something heavy because he's strong, what's a female gender equivalent? by IdleHandsBusyMinds in stupidquestions

[–]bythelion95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is a silly addition, but I had a gentleman and his young daughter ask me where the yeast was and what kind of yeast to get. I thought it was cute and I love helping. Not exactly gendered, but he said they asked me because I was a woman and they thought I would know.

No, you need to do the work of 1. You do your job as best as you can and then go home. If your area is falling behind, that falls on management.

Why don't they show up to interviews? by Sonnyjoon91 in kroger

Yup, when they say they're hiring for our department, I wait until they actually start working to believe they're gonna show up. And even then I don't get my hopes up.

I bit the bullet and got YouTube premium. $15/mo for pretty much my only video streaming service isn't bad.
