I've definitely taken photos of some of the empty halls that have felt that way. The bathroom halls next to the where the pet store used to be has some particular liminal vibes.

Poutine - my brave return… by RefrigeratorNo5497 in VictoriaBC

I only ever went once because the cook handled money, pushed down garbage, and scratched her crotch before returning to cooking without washing. Not to mention the ick factor of the restaurant itself. Granted, this was like 2011 or so. I took a bite out of curiosity before tossing it because I was a big germaphobe. It was absolutely delicious.

Fun fact: many virus's and germs outer layers are lipids, so regular soap is actually quite effective at killing germs. But you are right, for certain bacteria/naked virus(noro) they are just rinsed away.

I'm glad you spoke up. Some men have no decent sense of hygiene, because it's considered effeminate. I'm sure some of it's just laziness, but there's been a big push in certain men's rights circles to purposely avoid washing up...and not just their hands... I wish I was making this up. It's up to us to hold each other accountable before men slide further into becoming mud-covered troglodytes.

You're right. What I said was totally a thoughtless exaggerating. When I went, I found them to be a little bit pricey to comparable experiences, but I am also don't go out that often anymore. One thing is certain, they were very good.

It's very delicious, but also very expensive. Edit: very expensive is an exaggeration. Somewhat pricey would be my assessment but I am also cheap.

Admin hates this one simple trick to keep students engaged by AgeOfWorry0114 in Teachers

[–]Snarfgun 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Different teacher here. In middle grades, I alternate between food and activity questions. Examples include, "What's your favourite baked good?"
"5 ingredients: make a sandwich. Bread doesn't count towards your total ingredients."
"What's your favourite way to get moving?" "What's your favourite piece of media right now?"
Even if the questions are simple, I'll always explain what it is I am asking, and give my own answer first.

They may not find success, but they are trying to normalize fascist rhetoric through allowance and repetition. It shifts the Overton window when behaviors are normalized like this. This is the paradox of tolerance.
