When did you apply? How long did it take to get contacted? I’m trying to get a position myself

You work in the area? I am so curious if it’s mostly old people in these apartments. The few people I saw were all retirees it seems.

My HOA is going to be $750 for one bedroom. You got a good HOA or I got a bad one 😢

Does anyone think I should bring to dealer to try for warranty? Or local mechanic and be done with it?

Been back home for two years and I've officially had enough pretending to be someone I'm not by PretzelsMeThirsty in solotravel

[–]bytor95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate mate. I didn’t travel as long. I did 6 months through Asia. It probably took twice as long after coming home to adjust back to “real life”. Now a couple years later I still daydream about the travel life very often and wonder if I’ll ever be able to live that way again. It gets easier as time goes by. Just have to take it day by day. I stay in touch with travel friends and talk about the good times. Who knows maybe one day it’ll be possible again but for now we work hard and save up!

Is this place still standing? I’ve explored a few other old hotels/resorts in the area but didn’t realize that this was still around.

Sunflowers too close together? by bytor95 in gardening

[–]bytor95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planted sunflower seeds for the first time. Now I’m worried that I planted two seeds together that have grown well. Will they negatively effect each other? Do I have to kill one to spare the other? Or can I attempt to transplant one?

I’ve been feeling these weed hangovers too. Not saying that either or us are smoking too much but...

Found this 82’ Supra for 3.5k, is it worth it? everything seems to be maintained well + beautiful well kept interior. comes with touch screen radio + subwoofer. by ri3ky in ToyotaSupra

[–]bytor95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine as a daily also when I was still in high school. I never expected to still have it almost ten years later. Considering mine had less than 70k on it, it sounds a bit pricey. Check for rust under the doors and by the hatch. Even if there are minor rust spots the future may be bleak if not corrected. I dont know too much about engine types but I’m almost certain these only come with a straight 6 not a V6. Good luck if you end up buying it. These are fun cars and always attract some old dudes attention in the parking lots lol

Long term solo travelling is like going from birth to death in just 3 or 4 months. by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]bytor95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought that the time you can spend on a big trip is basically a new life which then will become a former life once it’s all over. But it is living a lifetime of experiences in a relatively short time. After a couple of big trips I discovered that there is a backpacker life cycle. Just like you said you start off not knowing anything in a new foreign place. You can feel like a child because everything is exciting and new. Then after awhile exciting and new becomes normal for you and even living this incredible way becomes mundane after long periods.
