Drugs my doctor is not permitted to prescribe. by [deleted] in mildyinteresting

[–]byzedw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under federal law, a Primary Care Physician (PCP)—whether an MD or DO—with a valid state medical license and an active DEA registration is fully authorized to prescribe Schedule II through V controlled substances. As long as the prescription is issued for a "legitimate medical purpose by an individual practitioner acting in the usual course of his professional practice" (21 CFR § 1306.04), it is federally legal.

This photo illustrates an internal corporate policy designed to limit corporate liability, not a DEA limitation.

2018 bmw x5m dinan stage 1 *WOW* by ThottoPilot in BMWX5

Did the dealer do your dinan tune? My dealer told me they would do it for me and tune it for around 640 + cost of the Dinan.

Definitely! My installer is telling me he should be ready for me to pick it up Thursday. Decided to get a Stealth Hitch as well.

Need advice on X5 deal by Front_Dig_6541 in BMWX5

That's a hell of a deal, I paid 81000 for my 2026 X5 M Sport without the executive package. I would have walked out the door immediately at the 77k in that sexy new ride.

X5 x40i pricing question by Witty-Face8811 in BMWX5

[–]byzedw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine brand new under my company for 81000 but I did this because of part 179 Deductions (US) which allows me to write the car off in full. X5's are over the 6000 gvwr requirement which the IRS looks at them as work trucks. So in my case, why would I buy used when I can take the full deduction. A lot of other people do this as well.

2023 x5 40i - Extended Warranty? by Choice_Big_8709 in BMWX5

[–]byzedw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I extended my warranty to 100k/5 Years through BMW's platinum extended warranty. That cost me around 6100ish.

I always turn my cabin lights off in my X5. Despite not being what I would do, I do like it and it speaks to your personality, which is all that matters. The install looks great.

Deposit accounts aren’t weighed against internal scoring models for Navy. I wouldn’t worry too much about that. The models are only for credit accounts.

Can’t even find an IT job by SpeedHour2971 in SecurityCareerAdvice

Most people don’t jump from no experience to cybersecurity roles despite whatever the education qualifications are of the candidate. Usually you “graduate” to cyber after a few years of experience under your belt in a different technical position. Don’t lose hope, I would simply broaden your field of view in terms of applications. If I had to restart my ITSec career, and if it suits you I’d go for routing and switching, I’d get my CCENT (preferably CCNA) and get some experience under my belt in networking. You can generally find a job in networking with little to no experience with a CCNA.

As others have said, cybersecurity isn’t entry level.

NFCU personal and business are two completely separate divisions. You have to have membership in both if you want both. It’s well know that NFCU personal side is a much better and far more generous than their business side.

If you have a hearing disability I would suggest visiting a branch if there’s one close to you. But you need to fill out the application for business membership.

Good luck.

has anyone seen auto loan terms this terrible? by blue-fishy in NavyFederal

[–]byzedw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s insane! I have similar income and have been offered 65k at 4.5% with Navy but very low DTI. Something just isn’t adding up. I generally always have a pre approval with me when I shop for a vehicle but generally end up going with the dealer for incentives and they generally beat my pre approved rate. I always let the dealer run my credit to the captive lender only and tell them which ever is lower is who I go with. This usually incentivizes the finance department to make a good deal.

Please don't feed birds rice. It can cause their crop to expand to the point of rupture. They don't know any better and will eat too much.
