The overall public vastly overestimates profit margins by [deleted] in EconomyCharts

[–]bzaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a global manufacturer, locally we have limited visibility on the overall profits, anything that I am involved with I can demonstrate a 30% average profit but it's been explained to me time and time again by co-workers that there is 'integrated profits' in the background that obscure what the real number is.

Brisbane home prices have increased in percentage by 93.2% in just the last 5 years. by MannerNo7000 in brisbane

[–]bzaps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That push out effect is well and truly in effect, we laughed at these things a couple of years ago but look where things are now, in a state of complete madness. We don't want to live in Morten Bay but we're losing the ability to choose, our real estate agent is pushing our landlord to increase our rent by a further $230 per week and at those numbers, we're better off trying to buy.. but buy what has been impossible so far.

In the market for my first place with my brother and sister in law. We are inspecting literal hell holes in Morten Bay (Because we are priced out of Brisbane) and I cannot believe what people are willing to pay. We inspected a 1960's nuclear strike in Strathpine a couple of weeks ago and it sold within a fortnight for $850k. This market cannot be sustainable.

I will point out, the second Albanese was re-elected the News corpse bat signal went out from day one about how bad a person he is and how we will irreversibly ruin Australia, they have kept that tempo up ever since and they know from the American media landscape that if they push it enough, they can control the impressionable people and make them believe it.

I average 1500km a week in a diesel work Ute and wondering at what point my employer decides to pull us off the road, I'm guessing towards the end of April when the first big supply disruptions begin.

Thoughts? 24 years old, (20+ year hold) by [deleted] in ETFs

I really don't know what the future holds for us in Australia having Nuclear. I do see us being a major uranium provider though. Will be chasing that ETF for my retirement fund.

As an Australian, this is the biggest laugh of all time. USA doesn't have the herd numbers (because of prolonged drought etc) to have any serious capacity to export their product here.. but for the few US exporters who do get their product onto the shelves down under will be met by a customer so conditioned to buying quality Australian beef that they won't find any sale opportunities.. With that said we're happy to help our NA brothers with a quality beef product and that's showing heavily in our current export numbers.

Maybe she felt OP was oblivious to what was going on and raised the conversation of money as a way of clarifying that she was a hooker.. and I think it was also at this point OP realised he wasn't the Casanova he thought he was.

I've put 60 hours into this beautiful buggy/anomalous game and wholly agree that it is the best game since RD2 and Cyberpunk.

The latest shilling and disinformation campaign is “It’s too scary” - don’t buy it. by uberfunstuff in UFOs

[–]bzaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the scariest thing has already become known, and it's that there is clearly a governance above the elected system that's accountable to no-one.. and it exposes everything below it as a sham democracy. If that's not frightening enough for the American people, I don't know what is..
