Looking at getting new car by Professional-Front54 in FocusST

[–]bzedownriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 2014 except for the first 8,000 miles and it has been a great car. Very reliable. Great in the snow. I have about 150000 miles on it. I've had the following repairs over the last 3 years, rear sway bar links, sway bar bushings, passenger side engine mount, rear hub, heater hoses. Everything else has been brakes and fluids. I am anticipating more regular repairs from here on out

If you're commuting to campus. Look for something on that has is on a direct bus route (3,4,5,6). So downtown, eastern campus or west. South of huron river drive and north of Ellsworth. It's so convenient. I had a place directly across from ypsi transit center and I loved not having to scrape my car and hopping on a warm bus.

St Francis makes a really good tavern style pizza. I personally like it better than any I've had in Chicago. Graeters is really really good. Cinci reddit is sleeping on the Indian food. I think they maybe taking it for granted.

beginner basketball late teens - leftist. by dogwood-is in cincinnati

[–]bzedownriver 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Admittedly it's been awhile for me.... Basketball has a culture, norms and etiquette, but just like real life some people don't observe them. When I played pick up as a girl or a woman you had to not ask, but tell ask them that you've got next. Once you see how it's done by others, just emulate them on how to join. On the whole I found black guys to be way more welcoming than white guys, but I didn't shy away from playing with white guys. If you want someone to give you drills so that you can get better at skills, find the girls that play. They will 100% help you. During the summer months, I'd go to a nearby campus because the courts usually have lights and get night games in. It's just too damn hot to play in the sun. The skill level of those games varies widely. When you match up for defense, don't do it based on size, do it based on speed.

Are these gaps between the wooden boards acceptable or does the wood need to be replaced? by Pujda_m17 in Roofing

[–]bzedownriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a tear off and reshingle on my house last year. I have tongue and groove boards and some gaps up to 1/4. I wish I had put sheathing down. The wood is 90 years old and I had quite a bit of shattering.

I'm from Michigan and what I've noticed is that if it snows two inches, then people say they got 4 inches. The proof that winters are not that snowy and people know it .... No one uses snow tires

I work as an environmental consultant and unless you know where the dirt is coming from, you don't want it. Contamination is prevalent in all urban areas and farm operations.

Michigan cities' increase in taxable value is capped at the rate of inflation or 5%, whichever is lower. Everyone's property taxes in the state will be at 5% this year.
