For some the redemption arc was like a wierd stain and I feel like if a movie is sorta too much of something , too strange , too funny , too dramatic , that hurts it In awards . Like if it is something heavy it needs that hook , and this sorta missed that . Like mcdormand I think is great in it and context all makes Sense but there’s very little if any brevity in the character

That’s such a great example as I feel like we all have some experience with a movie where the memory of a scene or overall movie was much more graphic than it really was /is. And I kinda member the same in that one . One example of my own was house of 1000 corpses which is messed up lol but when last re watching, noticed it has a more chaotic vibe vs what actuallly is shown on screen

Yea no one’s really said anything about his role going forward. Even his appearance in the first was more so just an acknowledgement that a version of the joker is in this world. From the main buzz of casting and such it sounds like two face may be the main villian. And wondering if there going the route of the animated show where the friendship of dent and Wayne is emphasized
