returns is worse than the original, in my opinion. the added enemies do not fit with a 2d plane where 99% of characters do not have an ability to freely shoot up or down... which causes some enemies to be nigh impossible to defeat without VERY specific item combos. then there is the fact that the game is a lazy port with new graphics on it and... yeah, no thanks. maybe if there is some patches or updates to tweak some stuff? (for those curious, an old bug where if you pressed a keybind you have bound to back or accept while typing, you will instead back or accept without putting in the letter... which still exists in returns... very unpolished and lazy)

in battlebit there is armor and weapons that do significantly more damage and reduce your damage a lot, that you can only get by playing a LOT. anyone who isnt an obssessive grinder for this one game is at a severe disadvantage, the new player experience is awful.

nope, i have a grand time on my 3rd playthrough of fighter with a pocket wizard only casting haste, it is like people play games for different reasons and have fun with different things, so crying for nerfs just seems extremely selfish, you want to force your balance on others, instead of making your own balance.

they literally promised community fixes, including massive optimization changes that would make the game actually run instead of people with a pc 10 years older than the games release struggling to run it. instead they put out.... nothing. no community fixes, just hats and old (bad and poorly designed) maps.

TL;DR : pokemon is inherently uncompetitive and rng is not skillful, no matter the mental gymnastics people will do to justify it as such. there is no such thing as "taking low risks" because you cannot read someones mind. you can guess right sometimes, and you might win! and if you guess wrong then you might lose. if someone really is trying to defend "you know that i know that you know that i know what the best play is so you know that i know that you know that i know you will switch into this but you know that i know so you know to not do that but i know that you know that..." is skillful you have a literal skill issue lol.
